Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is fantastic. We had a great welcome, staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and the location was great. Beautiful walks around the hotel, delicious breakfast with their lemon-ginger shot and fresh orange juice, and hot and cold meals. You feel like a VIP. If you want to avoid noises from the street, ask to get a quiet room away from the street. We are definitely coming back, see you next year!

Parking 200 meters away from the hotel, open space, 35 Euros per day, best to park at the Indigo Saint-Eugenie, 25 Euros per day, and not far from the hotel.

Hotel Alfred Port Vieux in Biarritz is a nugget. Ideally located close to the beach and the city center, it combines charm, comfort and conviviality. The rooms are tastefully decorated, impeccable bedding and offer a warm atmosphere. The staff is of exemplary kindness and professionalism, always ready to make the stay unforgettable. Special mention for the breakfast buffet, delicious, fresh and complete. A perfect place to enjoy the magic of Biarritz. I recommend with my eyes closed!"

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights recently. It is located steps from the Petite Plage down a pedestrian street. We had a great experience. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very comfortable. Out of about 6 hotels on our trip it was one of the most comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good - foods were fresh and a nice variety. The hotel felt cozy and personal. One of the nights we had a room that faced the front street, and there was a bit of noise. The other room did not face the street and was very quiet. It was a short walk from the hotel to get most places in town and was nice to be close to the water. We would go back.

Room Tip: If you don't like street noise best to get a room that does not face the main street.

We arrived in the establishment to only have a drink near the water. As soon as we arrive, we are put in the mood: “Sorry, there’s not much left.” It's a good start! We then try it with two pineapple juices, so as not to complicate things too much. But when the waitress returns, she holds up a single glass, which was not even pineapple juice, throwing us joyfully: “I only have one!”

Well, don’t panic, we think a little Perrier slice will do the trick. Simple, right? Well, no! She brings us a Badoit and a slice of lemon, delicately placed... on a plate. Yeah, yeah, a plate.

We decide to drink this famous juice, but there is a taste for time travel. A very vintage flavor... even if this one was still good according to the date!

Apotheosis? We had the joy of paying the sum of 10.5€. Frankly, at that Award, we could have participated in an escape game, but no, it was just our thirst desperate for an escape route!

Nice small older hotel just a few steps from the beach where many locals swim. Within walking distance of many nice restaurants and Hales market full of Basque specialities. Room was small but clean, bed reasonably comfortable, and room was sufficiently cooled with central air conditioning. Shower had no fixed shower head which was inconvenient. Small fridge in room stocked with 2 water bottles.

Breakfast buffet was small but well stocked with many choices. Scrambled eggs were good but slightly overcooked. Small croissants were tasty.

The hotel is cosy and located centraly to all of the shops and restaurants. Its a minute from the beach (if that). The rooms and hotel are spotlessly clean and immaculate. I would recommend booking a carpark space with the hotel, as there is little on street car parking in the area. The large underground carpark is a five minute walk away. A special mention must go to Lisa, who made our stay fantastic.

Even we the Pandemic and all the restrictions for tourists, the staff of the Georges VI was able to provide great customer service with a smile. From the check in, to the petit dejeuner , room cleaning and check out, it was a wonderful experience. The location in the heart of the city is fantastic.

Very friendly, centrally located hotel. Newly renovated, furniture made of wood throughout, without looking heavy. Rooms rather small but functionally decorated. Clean and well maintained. Rich breakfast, cappuccino with real milk, which we didn't often encounter on our trip! Friendly and helpful staff and pleasant presence of the owners.

There is no parking on the hotel property. We parked around the corner in a secure underground parking space as recommended by the hotel, and it was convenient and safe.

Sorry I don't know. But it is right in the centre near the beach so possibly not. There is an underground public car park though quite close by. The staff are very helpful and speak English so maybe you could email to ask them?
