The Hotel & Pavillon RÉGENT PETITE FRANCE is ideally located in the heart of the historic district of La Petite France and downtown Strasbourg. You will be welcomed in a building classified as a Historic Monument, where the industrial heritage of the Anciennes Glacières of Strasbourg contrasts with a contemporary, elegant and refined decoration. The 92 rooms and suites offer a view on the canals or on the half-timbered houses, so typical of Alsace. The hotel offers unique services in Strasbourg: - the Spa RÉGENT PETITE FRANCE combining well-being, aesthetics and beauty in a 200 m² space, where our experts offer various treatments, massages, scrubs and rituals with KOS Paris and Skinceuticals products, a real range of anti-aging treatments. - the CHAMPAGNE Bar with a wide selection of Champagne and Whisky, accompanied by a gourmet snack menu - The restaurant LE PONT TOURNANT, where our chef proposes an innovative and refined gastronomic cuisine.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An absolutely awful experience. I booked a room in the Pavillion not knowing that there is no reception, no dining room, in fact, nothing except the rooms which are at best only designed for one person staying one night. There is only 6 inches of hanging space in the wardrobe, nowhere to put your cases, in fact nowhere to put anything. The spa which they advertise is across the road in the main hotel as is the dining room. We arrived on Tuesday and were scheduled to leave on Friday, the restaurant was closed and only opens on weekends which we were not told when booking. We checked out after the first night, they offered no alternatives, the staff were very unhelpful and rude in some instances. Overpriced Premier Inn!

Good from start to finish. Fabulous friendly staff who wanted to help and please. What more can you ask for. Hotel in the picturesque area of town. Comfortable room. Some real history in the cellar with the famous Strasbourg ice machine. As with virtually everywhere in France, you have to pay to park the car….it was a little steep but a lovely indoor secure parking area.

I did not stay in this hotel, however I was disgusted by their attitude on reception and unwillingness to help. I approached reception very politely to ask if I could use their bathroom as I am pregnant and really need to use the toilet and to change the nappy or my child who had an accident outside 2,5 years who just move out of nappy and very cold outside. Lady on reception told me that there are no toilets for me to use and only hotel residents can access it. I’ve said I am happy to buy coffee or tea to use toilet, however she repeated is not possible. I have never heard any hotel who do not let pregnant lady to use toilet or change child. We stay in hotels around the world and this place with their attitude is disgusting, so far from 5*.

We thank you for sharing your experience with us and understand that it may have left you with a negative impression of our hotel. Our receptionists are instructed not to allow access to our toilets to non-residents of the hotel. Our toilets are in constant demand from tourists visiting Petite France. We can't accede to these requests, as it would mean a considerable extra workload for our maintenance staff, to the detriment of other tasks. Especially as clean, supervised public toilets are available all day, just 150 meters from our establishment. Yours sincerely Le Régent Petite France

This is a wonderful hotel, in the most beautiful part of the medieval quarter. All the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel has a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The quality of everything, the reception, the room and the breakfast room was all we could have wished for. We drove to the hotel via Eurotunnel (grrr!) for the Christmas markets – a couple of recommendations if you are doing the same - It’s worthwhile to plan your route carefully and to head for the Pont de L’Abbatoir as your entry point to the medieval city. If you book valet parking, contact the hotel a good 2 weeks before travel to get the stamped authorisation form – without it, you will not be allowed entry to the medieval quarter in a car. Near to the hotel and away from the crowded areas is the relatively quiet St. Thomas’ market. If you're in need of a quiet half hour with a ‘vin chaud’ and a tasty snack, it's a good option – and you can also read about the church that overlooks the market, I think it claims to be the location of the first Protestant sermon. Oh, and don’t plan a return date when the Eurotunnel people decide to call a wildcat strike over their Christmas bonus! For the rest, the medieval quarter at Christmas is every bit as good as the websites and guidebooks say it is!

We have booked a suite in Regent Petite France during Christmas periode. Despite it was confirmed that the suite will be read for check in at13:00, we had to check in at 16:00, so we lost our massage session. The rooms was smelling badly entire night and extremely dry due to the unbalanced heating system. The value for this hotel doesnt worth the money spent. I wouldn't recommend it in this Periode.

Short walk to Christmas market and ferry pickup point. 👍Check in/out 👍Room was clean and warm 👍👍Perfect view 👍👍👍Attentive staff 👍 Gorgeous lobby There is a display corner at the lobby showcasing local brands / Strasbourg products. Sale of items at lobby. Also, the roads/bridges leading to the island are closed during the festive season (open only for a few hours in the morning). Most tourisr might take a taxi from train / airport - do note / seek advse fr hotel as you will nd to make a short walk from the nearest drop off point.

Weather forced us to change our itinerary last second, so we decided to bite the bullet and pay extra for the experience and I can say it was worth it (and maybe even a steal) for the experience. We were lucky to have the room facing the falls with the balcony. As a picky sleeper, the bed was fantastic with one of the best pillows we’ve had in a while. Took us a bit to figure out the lights in the room, and the closet door feel of the toilet room was a bit odd, but that would be so minuscule an issue compared to other things that could have happened. The hotel staff was fantastic and the Christmas decorations were incredible. Well done Regent.

When we arrived the staff noticed I had made an error with my reservation date. The ladies at the reception and the gentleman in charge, went out of their way to help us. It was extremely appreciated as the hotel was very full. We had a nice room with a nice view. The hotel is very pleasant and quiet. A visit to Strasbourg is a must. We were very happy to have chosen this hotel.

Warm welcome on arrival and each time we spoke with the reception. Delightful gentleman escorted us across the path to the older building. We had stairs up to our well designed room on the top floor with windows that opened wide to the sounds of the town and water and canals. Thoughtfully designed rooms and bathrooms. High standard of bedding and towels and location of power for easy charging. We were traveling light so walked from the train station ~ 10mins and less than that in the opposite direction to Place Gutenberg then the cathedral. Pont Couverts is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel also. Fantastic location, well run property and nicely designed for leisure visit in the quartier de La Petite France.

Very well organised hotel across a couple of sites in the heart of old Strasbourg. We were in the annexe, news of which normally makes the heart sink; but this was excellent - clean, well designed, spacious, and with a wonderful view over the river. It's worth a visit to the champagne bar in the main hotel. Really elegant, and somewhere we'd like to have spent longer.
