This 2 star hotel exceeds expectations. The range and diversity of the breakfast buffet is very good. Lots of local and different products. We also thought the device for making the pancakes was an original and fun eye-catcher. Sometimes the coffee machine was overloaded and some patience was required. The fact that the toilet was a separate room from the bathroom was very positive about the room. The bathroom is a bit small and has a shower curtain instead of a door. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Colmar's old town centre, which is quite doable.

We stayed here on three separate nights as part of a cycling tour and really enjoyed each of our three stays. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable and I thought they offered good value for money. The breakfast buffet is excellent and exceeded our expectations, with local specialities and a wide choice of other items, all good quality. The staff were great - really friendly and welcoming. I had some questions before I booked, and received prompt and helpful replies to my email enquiries, and the staff were just as helpful during our stay, especially the lady at reception in the evenings who remembered us when we returned. There is a safe place to store bicycles, which was very useful for us, and also plenty of parking. Location is also good and we were able to walk into the centre of Colmar in around 20 minutes.

The hotel is in a good location, you can walk to the city center in about 15 minutes. There are enough parking spaces at the hotel. A good location for trips into the surrounding area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You felt very welcome. For €12.50 you get a great breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. You can also get some drinks until the evening for an additional charge. Also very fair. The only small drawback is the rooms (see below). We would book it again for a city trip at any time. The rooms are very small, but sufficient for a few days. However, there is not a lot of space.

We found parking spaces right next to the hotel (free of charge), the lady at the reception was very friendly. The rooms are quite small but you don't lack anything, very clean and there was also a small welcome gift, at the entrance they have mulled wine and apple punch. The only thing I would criticize is the shower curtain (if you're not careful you'll put the bathroom underwater). Nothing was missing at breakfast. I'd be happy to come back any time. I can only recommend it.

The Arc en ciel is a really friendly hotel, very well maintained in a quiet area, 15 minutes walk from the historic center of Colmar. Our room with simple decor, with separate toilet, was very clean. The breakfast buffet is simply beautiful, hearty, varied, and Alsatian pastries are even offered. This hotel offers superior services at a reasonable price.

An amazing and affordable hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions and being at our disposal. The room was small, but perfect for two people, very clean and comfortable. A cooling fan was provided in the room, but we didn't need it because the room was perfect temperature. Would definitely recommend!

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were very well received and informed. The room perfectly met our expectations. The hotel is quite close to the city center, the walk allows you to digest the delicious local specialties a little. The breakfast was plentiful and very well presented. The only downside is that the suction in the bathroom is not powerful enough to evacuate the steam; you have to open the bathroom door. For the rest everything is very good.

Very cosy room that had plenty of storage space and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was outstanding with a great selection of cheeses and an ample choice of all the heart desires. The young staff was extremely efficient, friendly and fast. I liked the whole style of the hotel. The decorations showed an eye for little details that make guests feel at home.

The welcome is very friendly. Small but functional rooms. We were immediately warned that if something was missing we would have to ask for the room as well as for the well-stocked and renowned breakfast buffet. All the staff are super friendly and take great care of their customers... that's why we've already gone there several times for short stays
