We stayed for one night with our dog, after arriving in Colmar to find that our original hotel was closed due to COVID.

The hotel staff were friendly, and the hotel is centrally located. We parked the car in the secure car park on the edge of town (5-10 minutes walk) for 15 Euros/overnight, and then walked everywhere we needed to go.

We had a regular double room - it was spacious and charming. Bits of the room were worn - the toilet bowl had staining from the water, the window nets had a few holes, but the hotel was clean. We slept well, although in the summer if you need to sleep with the windows open, the rooms along the road would be louder.

My brother and I had planned to stay here for one night in February, while we toured around Alsace on the wine road tasting the marvelous Alsatian Grand Cru Rieslings throughout the area. But, we loved this hotel so much that we ended up staying almost a week there and using it as the base for our regional explorations. Absolutely wonderful hotel, and very low prices for the quality of the lodgings, service and breakfast (which is included). The location is great, just a few feet from the picturesque canals of the Petit Venise, with attractive buildings and shops all around. The staff is very cordial and accommodating and the breakfast is over the top in terms of variety and quality. I cannot recommend the Hotel le Colombier highly enough!

We stayed at the Hotel le Colombier Suite in the main street for 2 nights this summer. The location is very central and right at La Petite Venise, a few steps from the river and bridge. The suite is very clean and secured, with multiple key enabled doors. I like the design of the interior very much, simple design with a mixed use of leather and wood in the room. We stayed on the top room, so extra high ceiling with moon roof, very spacious. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Correct, but with a lot of shortcomings
Hotel in the very center of the city. Very big problems with parking. Either you fill in the parking meter every day or you stay far away from the hotel. Quiet hotel, slightly older clientele. A small gym (only a bike and treadmill and two dumbbells) and a sauna. Nothing to do for the kids. And most importantly - very poor breakfasts. Poor choice of dishes. Only cold scrambled eggs (not rotten eggs, but powder). Ready-made pancakes unpacked from a supermarket package - NOT HEATED. No warm omelettes, sausages, etc .... no possibility to order anything hot. And the eternal queue for one coffee machine. Overall a bit too expensive hotel for such conditions.

Arrived at the hotel to be given a room in their building across the road from the hotel. The room was the size of a prison cell with dark green walls, which was very depressing. Could hardly move, let alone get our 2 suitcases in. They gave us a room which was bigger in the hotel which was fine. The mattress was like laying on a brick, but they put a blanket under the sheet, which did help a bit. The toilet was in a little room next to the bathroom with no sink which became a total pain as you had to keep going into the bathroom to wash your hands. The shower was very good, lots of room and the room very clean.
There was a coffee machine, no milk and no tea even though the description did say tea and coffee in room. For €177 per night I expect better. The breakfast was really disappointing. Very tight area and too many people around one coffee machine and quite frankly nothing special. A small 2 hot plate to keep eggs warm and a pot wit bacon which was swimming in fat. Really off off putting.
If you are staying in Colmar I think max 2 nights is enough. The hotel is really central to the old part of Colmar which is great, however if you want some hospitality this is not the hotel to stay in. We felt that the hotel was just a money machine with no character and really very little in the way of service. On checking out, we weren’t even asked if we’d enjoyed our stay, so no didn’t feel we were a valued customer.

Dear Guests, We thank you very much to take time to share your feeling after your stay at le Colombier. It is nice for us to read that you find our hotel very central in the city. All the rooms are different, we have 3 buildings in total, so it is good that we make the changing to give you a room with more space and other colors. Do not hesitate to ask some assistance for milk or tea in the room. We will share your good words about the cleanliness of the rooms to the service. Concerning the breakfast, we have note your comment. we serve a buffet breakfast with large choice of several sorts of cheese, charcuterie, yogourt, juice, bread, seeds... with a large part of local products some of them bio. We are sorry if this one did not meet your expectations. Your comment about the hospitality caught our attention and we will make sure we will have no feedack like this in the future. We stay of course at your disposal for any other questions you may have. Sincerely yours AS Heitzler

Stayed 3 nights in a good modern decorated and appointed room. Worth paying the extra cost for such a perfect exploring location in the heart of Petite Venise
Staff very helpful and friendly - highly recommend.
Parking is difficult in the area and the hotel's garage is expensive.

We are really happy to read your good comment about your nice room and the whole team thanks you for your compliments. As you indicate, we are ideally located in the heart of the city, starting point to visit the center on foot. We take the liberty of informing you that the price of our garage is about the same as a parking space in the street or in the closed car parks of the city. We hope to welcome you another time in our charming hotel. Best regards Claudine FLEITH

The hotel has two buildings located across the street of each other. Our building was newly renovated and had a sauna and the gym. The parking was on the street, though, but it didn’t cost a lot, the travelers could also use one of the parkings located nearby.

The hotel has very beautiful rooms, each different from the other, spotlessly clean, well furnished, well lit, truly comfortable from every point of view. Quality bathroom products (Nuxe), large bed and very comfortable mattress. The staff was very kind, the breakfast - sweet and savory - is good, you can also have it in the lovely internal courtyard, outdoors. We easily found parking on the street a few meters from the hotel (the spaces are paid, from 9am to 7pm, then they are free. We arrived mid-afternoon and left mid-morning the following day and paid less than 10 euros in total)
It is a hotel that I would definitely recommend!

My sister and I planned to stay a couple of days in Colmar on our 2 week trip. We were greeted by an unpleasant man who was too lazy to help with our bags. He asked if we needed the luggage rack, then said we didn’t. He shoved us in the elevator with our luggage and we were left to fend for ourselves. My sister asked to park our car the garage, but she was told it was unavailable, so we had to pay for street parking and move the car to avoid a ticket. Once we were in our room we noticed how dirty and disgusting the floor was. Our refrigerator was broken and the mini bar options were limited. We were only given 1 towel. Needless to say, we checked out the next day. No wonder the hotel was vacant. The desk reps were pleasant and checked our reservation, confirming that the room we originally ordered was changed. The town itself seems quite charming. We will definitely visit again, just not at Le Colombier in Colmar, France!

Perfect experience in its entirety. Hotel located in the heart of Colmar's Petite Venis. Structure located in a historic building, renovated, modern and efficient. The rooms are tastefully furnished, comfortable, equipped with everything you need and soundproofed. The breakfast buffet is of high quality, offering the classic savory continental breakfast with several choices of typical French desserts. Excellent choice of fruit juices, infusions and tea. The staff is present, friendly and attentive to all customer needs.
Definitely a point of reference in the city.
