Detailed Reviews
Located close to the historic centre this is a very modern very minimalist Novotel. We were upgraded to an executive room and it was large, airy with lots of modern fixtures.
There is a fridge near reception offering microwave meals if you get ‘stuck’ but that’s unlikely with the nearby town brimming with restaurants (and tourists!)
The only real issue is parking, very limited onsite and the surrounding streets were very busy. I’d try to book parking in future.

We stayed 1 night in this confortable, new and fresh hotel close to the downtown. The room for 4 people at the 3rd floor (2 adults and two children) was clean and big. The staff is lovely and kind. They have a spa and a gym but we had not the time to use it. Covid 19 rules respected. We decided to have the breakfast outside, but the price they offer looks fair. A breakfast outside in a boulangerie is more expensive. The parking was full booked but the receptionist suggested us a public parking next to the hotel for 8 euro per night only. We recommend this hotel. Other hotels around look very touristic and outdated.

The rooms are large and spacious, minimally but tastefully furnished. The hotel staff are always available and very friendly. Convenient for both those passing through and those wishing to visit the city centre. The hotel has a very convenient parking at a cost of 10 euros per day. The hotel does not have a restaurant but it has a small boutique with really good quality products that you can buy and heat in your room (each room has a microwave). Even during the pandemic it maintains very good standards of quality and cleanliness.

This is an excellent value choice. I know there are a few better hotels in central Colmar (at least twice the price) but there is no hotel in the area that represents better value for money. It is perfectly located. It has a great private and inexpensive covered parking. We stayed in an Executive Suite - it was large, with separate living area and separate bedroom area. The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom has both, a reasonable sized bath tub and a super large walk in shower. There is no restaurant on site but it is literally three minute walk from the closest nice restaurant, and a 5 minute walk to numerous excellent restaurants. We didn't take breakfast as again, there are countless options to have outdoors breakfast in the summertime in Colmar, and summers are short so one needs to make most of them. This is a very rare occasion I recommend a Novotel as they tend to be super ugly and dated, but this is excellent all around.

The hotel was super clean, modern and comfortable. We had two rooms, each was fitted with a king bed and a sofa bed which can accommodate up to 4 people. The reception was great with plenty of space to hang out with a little area for kids to play.
The rooms were well appointed. The shower was great with multiple settings, better than those at most 5-star hotels. The sofa bed was actually comfortable and one can actually sleep on it!
The individuals working at the front desk were also friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with holiday cookies and toys for the kids. When asked where to get tested for covid to get the temporary health pass on Christmas day, the front desk was able to identify a place quickly while also helped call other places to check availability.
Overall it was an enjoyable. We gave it only four stars instead of five because we are not sure about the value. It is a little bit of a walk from town with zero view from the rooms which cost eur 250 per night (which can accommodate 4 people - that is a plus).

What a pleasure to read you. We are very happy that your stay is a success within our establishment. I will certainly be sure to share your most complimentary experience with the team. We could have had 5 stars :) because for 4 people in the rooms we are the cheapest hotel in Colmar, in fact you should have booked 2 rooms in another hotel. Happy New Year and see you soon un Colmar !

We stayed here as a stop-over on our drive from Calais to Lake Como. Colmar was somewhere my husband had always wanted to visit and this hotel was a lovely place to stay.
We arrived tired after 7 hours on the road, and the hotel warmly welcomed us and quickly directed us to a super convenient place to park 5 minutes walk down the street (we hadn’t booked parking so didn’t expect to park at the hotel itself). The four of us stayed (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed in one room which was a pretty good size, an executive suite, with the children on a fold out bed. The bathroom was modern, with a good shower and nice that the toilet was located separately.
We ate breakfast at the hotel and also enjoyed a drink at the bar in the evening. Breakfast was busy but had a great selection of buffet options which pleased all the different tastes of our family.
The hotel is about a 10 minute easy walk from where the central restaurants and old houses are located. We liked this as meant it was slightly quieter than being right in the middle. Colmar itself was certainly very beautiful, though I confess we didn’t love it quite as much as we thought we would as it was heaving with tourists and we also found it very challenging to find a restaurant with space that offered vegetarian options for our son. If we were to return we would certainly book ahead for food - we knew it would be busy of course being a weekend in the summer holidays, but have never been anywhere in France (including many summer weekends) where we struggled to get a table - lesson learned!
But great hotel, and would certainly recommend the hotel to other travellers.

Located less than a five minute walk from Petite Venise, this hotel is an excellent choice when visiting Colmar. We spent several nights here and were extremely satisfied with our stay.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant tips provided at check-in were spot on.
The rooms are high quality with minimal noise. The hotel is located walking distance to Colmar's main attractions, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle.
The hotel offers a selection of snacks, drinks and microwaveable food, which can be consumed downstairs, in your room or on the run. This was an extremely helpful addition, particularly on a public holiday weekend. The children's area downstairs was also a nice touch, allowing travelling families to have a chat while their children are entertained and within sight.
A great hotel in a beautiful town. Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel is ok, nothing overly special not overly bad. It clearly lives from the Christmas markets, as the price they are charging for the services offered is definitely disproportionate.
The most disappointing is the breakfast, which is far from a 4* hotel level. They have pre-prepared scrambled eggs but do not serve any basic fried eggs or soft boiled eggs. When asked why not, they said that they don’t have a kitchen…this poses the question on how they managed to cook the scrambled eggs in first place… the scrambled eggs were also quite tasteless which makes us wonder if they were at all made out of eggs. In general, there is a very small choice of food and it does not look very fresh. Of course that wouldn’t be a problem in general, if you would not pay a very high price for the room and if that hotel would not put 4 stars on its wall…
Regarding other services offered, the gym is so small that it is rather just installed for them to be able to mention it in their website.
The room itself is spacious and nicely arranged. However, the heating system doesn’t work very well. It was either super cold in the room or, when turning on the heater, the air was very dry…we slept very bad due to the dry air.
We are loyal and long clients from Accor hotels, and we have been already in some Novotels, must say the others offered way better services. But then again, this one is next to the Colmar Christmas market, so apparently this gives them the right to just charge big money and nothing more…

Monsieur, thank you for sharing your feelings about your stay with us. Customers are free to book with us or not, knowingly. You have chosen the Executive room category at the highest rate in the hotel. You could have chosen the lower category at a more advantageous rate. You slept in one of our most beautiful rooms "406", it's a pity not to mention all the equipment in your room (espresso machine, kettle, microwave, free mini bar, two televisions, living room, shower and bathtub, bathrobes, slippers separate toilets…). We cannot satisfy everyone at breakfast, we already have scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, and we also offer local Christmas products, bacon or local "knack" sausages, ham, sliced chicken, cold cuts, 3 kinds of cheese (with Munster), carrot salad, tomato salad, yogurt, fruit salad, 3 kinds of pastries, 4 kinds of bread, Kougelhof, artisanal brioche, carrot cake, pancake, gluten-free product, 6 choices local jams, 3 choices of local honey, chocolate spread, 3 kinds of cereals, apple juice, orange juice, almond milk, seasonal fruits, etc... The sauna, hammam, relaxation room, fitness are offered for all our hotel guests, no supplement requested. Every day, we compare our hotel prices and our services offered with other hotels in Colmar. Our hotel is one of the best value for money in town. (Also read the comments of other customers)…so, does the team deserve a 3/5 ?… Sincerely,.

This hotel is great value for your money. I stay mostly in accor hotels during both business and leisure trips and I must say that this Novotel has one of the best rooms that I have stayed at. The room is more spacious than normal, specially with this price. Very clean, I love that there is a sink next to the coffee area in the room, there is also a sink in the toilette to wash hands with. the bed is very comfortable and they provided extra pillows. Oh and they also have a microwave in the room! Super convenient specially for us coz we stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. The location is really good, very close to the center. The staff were always very helpful and friendly, there was even a trainee during my check in and even the experience of being part of his training was delightful. There were even some small tokens given to me and my children as I was checking in. Really a great place, and would definitely visit again.

It is a very charming hotel, with a very polite reception that helps you with whatever you ask for, breakfast: fresh, quality products. The menu does not vary, but you eat very well and abundantly. Cleaning of the hotel and rooms very good. Very polite staff in all areas. Central: turn the corner and 300 meters from the center with Petit Venezia. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very well designed room, modern, large, perfect lighting, has a bathroom with bathtub and large shower tray and separate toilet. Well soundproofed and dark that covers the entire wall. Refrigerator, microwave, coat racks, 2 closets, sofa bed for 2 people, and relaxing recliner. Simple but comfortable hall, Internet, WiFi with good coverage WE WILL BE BACK, SURE
