After searching and searching for somewhere reasonable for 5 of us to stay, I stumbled upon The Clydemount. I called to check the rates and booked over the phone immediately. It was £115 for two rooms for 5 of us for one night and well worth the money. Accessible from the motorway without the terrible traffic, with parking at the...

I stayed here last weekend as I went to the Ukrainian Club in North Manchester to see Ruslana perform. The owners were very knowledgeable and helpful. Room was small but I was only my own so it did the job :) had an amazing weekend all round. Will be back to stay in the new year (hopefully)

I stayed in the guesthouse for 2 nights solo and I was offered a clean and spacious room. Kevin and his mum are very friendly and I have enjoyed my interaction with them. Definitely I get more than I should ask for with the price I pay. Highly recommended. P.S. The Jollof Cafe which is 1 minute walk from the...

Stayed for 7 nights in March 2015. Good place to stay, had a twin room at £30/night which was enormous. B&B is spread over 3 Victorian-style townhouses. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, free off-street parking at the rear in Debdale Lane. Breakfast extra, reasonably priced at £6(small) / £8(large). The place was clean and tidy and the bed...

My 9 year old son and I stayed at the Clydemount on a weekend when Manchester United were playing at home and a well known singer was appearing at a large venue in the city, neither of which was the reason for our visit. I was quoted some eye-watering prices by the so-called "budget" hotels and decided to look elsewhere....

I was dragged to Manchester by my 11 year old daughter to see 1Direction (oh the joy). I chose the Clydemount after reading the reviews and also the cost of the major chains (extortion or what!!!! Nothing under £150 for a Friday night even using the price comparison sites). The guest house was excellent value for money and hadn't HICKED...

Immaculately clean premises. Bathroom and bedroom, bright and spacious, very comfortable beds. Useful tea making facilities, washbasin and tv in room. Considerate, knowledgeable, exceptionally helpful and engaged hosts. Excellent public transport to city centre. Location isn't leafy suburb (impression I had from photo + Debdale Park proximity), but for budget accommodation, excellent value for money.
