We stayed just one night as we were heading home the next day. Not ideal for heading back to the airport, but not terrible. Friends had stayed earlier in the week and booked the room for us. Piccadilly train station is super close by. Lots of shoppes and places to eat. Since it was Sunday though, most places were closed. We are at the restaurant in the hotel and had an early night. Clean, bright and cozy! Parking is TIGHT if you are an American with a bigger car! Manageable though and very convenient in the basement. £17 to park overnight.…
We booked an "executive twin" for our final few nights in the UK. Not a good way to finish a lovely walking holiday. A pleasant looking room of adequate size judging by the photographs on the website. We thought a mistake had been made we we saw our room...so small we could barely turn around, let alone find somewhere for our bags. We asked that some of the extraneous items (small round table, unneeded chair, beverage maker) be removed for our stay. This was grudgingly done. Drawer space/storage was minimal, with one large drawer given to storing the beverage supplies. Nowhere to hang wet coats except in the small clothes closet. The room was tired with considerable "wear and tear". The fridge door was sticky and was in serious need of a wipe down. The curtains had come undone in several places. Easy to remedy, but someone is not on top of it. This was the second highest rate we have ever paid, after the K and K George in London, a lovely, high end hotel. There was a convention on in Manchester, so supply and demand prevailed. Nevertheless, the room was not as advertised or depicted. This was our complaint. We were offered an upgrade, at a cost, which we declined. There were some positives to our stay. But these in no way made up for our disappointment. At a much lower rate, all the negatives would be excusable, but at the high cost for this room, definitely not. We would not return.…
Staff very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean ( spotless !) and had everything what we needed. Location is excellent - close to everywhere. Staff at the front desk made us feel welcome from the beginning till the end . we will be back for sure !
Clean and tidy, room temperature was just right. Breakfast varied and staff really polite. Good central location and ideal for the station. Not one for a romantic break but perfect for a business overnighter.
Attended a work conference held here so effectively two full days and one night with a lot of work colleagues. The conference event itself was well managed and the room and service was great. The hotel prepared a great evening buffet and event and breakfast the following morning was high quality. Great venue and great hotel team…
"Windows provided very good noise reduction but always opt for a high floor here or anywhere else to make sure as quiet as possible."Read full review
