We stopped in this pub for lunch before visiting MOSI. Very mixed experience, and would not go again due to the poor service. The place was empty when we arrived, and we placed orders for drinks, and then decided to eat there; a mixed platter (my father does no believe me when I say that pickled gherkins just sound so...

There we were wandering around the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester when Dan said ‘I fancy a sandwich’. The Museum café was shut (for refurbishment, I think) and we were all peckish. So we looked around for somewhere to eat. What we found was a gem – ‘The Oxnoble’ at Potato Wharf. A pub. With food. But what...

My wife and I stayed at the Ox Noble for just the one night, chosen mainly because it was just down the street from the venue of my daughter's 40th. birthday party at the Barca. However I was very impressed with this pub, although it's quite old and of the traditional variety, the bedrooms were extremely comfortable and spacious and...

This was always our fave place in Manchester for a huge delicious Sunday roast. Today was SO disappointing! Instead of 1 great big yorkshire Pudding, it was 2 small, hard (frozen. It homemade) yorkshires. Less meat than normal. No longer lamb on the menu. The veg was dreadful. Just one big mix of veg - included onions and peppers and...

Lovely lady Sarah took my booking. My room was ready on my arrival - very clean with coffee making facilities. Basic but clean. My only issue is despite me being resident we couldn't get a drink after midnight so we went 10 metres down the road to a pub that was happy to serve us a Aston drink

This pub is located in the Castlefield area of Manchester, opposite the Science & Industry Museum... The Ox dates back to the early 1800s and may not look much from the outside but once you step inside you'll be amazed by modern decor and great food & drinks... This historic pub offers a selection of good real ales on handpumps,...

Popped in for lunch with a colleague. It's a trad little pub, quite sweet. The host was so lovely. I had a burger, colleague had a sandwich; both came with chips. The burger was brilliantly well cooked, served pink and juicy. Sandwich was huge and well stuffed. And the chips were AMAZING. The biggest chips I've ever seen. Crispy on...

Booked with only a week or so to go after searching without success. Originally took only available triple room but was offered our preferred double after a cancellation - and at cheaper price, very honest of them! Large room, a bit dated and rough round the edges but clean and nothing to complain about. Located directly over the bar but...

Our room provided us with a good base for exploring the inner part of Manchester. The room is very simple with an en suite that is almost institutional in character. I got exactly what I paid for, no more, no less.
