If you want a cheap place to stay close to everything this is the choice. 4 bed dorm for 16£ is not bad but know that the bed mattress is about 2cm thick, pillow is thin but blanket is hot. You can hear quit well the traffic. All windows doesn't close and there are no plugs near beds (or any)...

Upon arrival, we didn't get a good impression, as the main entrance/reception had a rather drab atmosphere, and things got even worse when we saw our dorm. It was quite disgusting and I was concerned about the health risk due to lack of apparent hygienic standards. However, when I asked if we could have a different dorm, the lovely staff...

I came for a week end with one of my friend. We took some time to make our reservation and we had quite no other choice... our booking choice was not based on price but more on localisation and we wanted to meet new people travelling like us. No 4-bed-dorm available so we went for a 6 mixed one. The...

Pretty 19th-century building in a great central location, handy for railway stations and Afflecks. Staff were helpful, minding valuables during the day and bringing my heavy case up in the goods lift so I didn't have to lug it up 4 flights of stairs. Breakfast included, which is rare these days. Room was perfectly adequate for the price. However, although...

It is a decent affordable option. It was clean and the room was spacious and the bathrooms were nice. There were a few school groups there at the time though so the common areas were a bit busy for my liking. The location was great for us & the area around the Hostel was very nice.

It was my last resort but had to spend 2 nights here. The staff is smiley and kind of nice, but helpless: the most recurring word they say is "sorry" as in "sorry but...". The building is amazing, it has 5 floors (sorry but) the elevator doesn't work for guests. Because the buildig is historical, they can't install a new...

Room on the 5th floor, no lift. 107 steps to the room... noisy from outside trafficas well as inside(no quiet time apparently as noise continues well after midnight) drafts from windows and door frames, rooms are connected with locked doors so you can hear your neighbours and hear every door opening and closing. And Mattresses are old, springs can be...

Spent several night there. Nothing to say about the location, which is great (not far from the station and the city centre). But the hostel itself is a traumatizing experience. A single room as big as a cell, hullabaloo every night, a grimy kitchen and filthy toilets. The only good moment was when I ckecked out !

Very cheap so wasn't expecting the Ritz-Carlton but the cleanliness in rooms and particularly toilets was appalling. No lift was annoying when staying on top floor as involved a long walk. Good location and other tenants were friendly.
