Manchester's newest aparthotel is inspired by the brilliant Oscar Wilde and will delight those seeking a home from home that’s rich on charm, personality, style, elegance, creativity, quirkiness and originality. This 256-room aparthotel offers a range of design-led studios and one bedroom apartments, all of which deliver the award-winning Staycity blend of home and hotel, but with lashings of Wilde’s signature style. This means the usual combination of home comforts such as fully equipped kitchens and hotel services such as 24-hour reception, but with the addition of superior interior finishes including natural timber flooring, bespoke joinery, crafts, artwork and soft furnishings, 43-inch smart TVs, appliances from high end brands such as Smeg and Nespresso, as well as luxuriant Hypnos mattresses and Grohe rainfall showers.

Detailed Reviews
This aparthotel is great value for money, we opted for an upgrade and we were not disappointed. Our one-bedroom apartment had superfast wifi which allowed me to work during the day without any issues. We requested a quiet room and this request was clearly granted as we didn't see or hear anyone outside our room for the entire stay. The apartment is huge, flat screen tv in bedroom and living room, plenty of storage for clothes. The kitchen has everything you could need, it is even fitted with a dishwasher so no need to wash up! The flat was very clean.
Check in was on the 9th floor, we got there and were seen straight away and checked in within a few minutes. We always felt safe at the hotel thanks to security at the entrance. The hotel itself is well situation within walking distance of bars/restuarants/pubs (e.g. turtle bay and wetherspoons). Transport links as well with the tram. I will definitely return here next time I'm in town.

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here for one night withmy friend, to celebrate my birthday and to watch a show. It is perfect location for all, close to railway, trams, theatres and the city centre all walking distance. The room is spacious and clean with plenty of goodies like fresh milk, water in the fridge, nespresso machine and capsules, everything you need like utensils and dishwasher. The service was also spot on. I emailed them prior arrival asking we could change from double to 2 single beds as my friend was coming instead of my husband. The replied instantly and changed it for me. My friend arrived earlier and was able to go into the room as I checked in online. Online check in was quick and simple. Overall a very delightful stay, slept realy well and I am definitely returning to this wilde aparthotels when stopping in Manchester. I highly recommend them

I stayed here for a night in March. The hotel is very conveniently located just off St. Peters square in the city centre of Manchester, the main attractions are just a couple of minutes walk away, and there is a tram station almost directly outside the hotel.
We were greeted by a friendly member of staff and were directed to our room on one of the top floors. We booked the upgraded package online and this was well worth the extra money. The view from the room was fantastic, looking right across the city. The room was very well equipped, with a fully equipped small kitchenette and dining area. We were particularly impressed by the complimentary snacks and drinks that were included with the room.
The room was spotless and very well maintained. I could not recommend this hotel more, for the price point I think you would struggle to find better in the Manchester City centre area.

Superb accommodation, excellent location adjacent to tram stop (St Peter's Square) with plenty of restaurants and bars seconds away. Rooms were meticulously presented both in terms of hygiene, decor and fitted out with every conceivable in-room convenience - attention to detail was quite incredible such as supplying sweet treats/refrigerated fresh cows milk for nespresso along with take-out coffee cups to name but a few. I cannot recommend this aparthotel more highly-with guarantee you'll not be disappointed.

Great location near St Peter’s tram, but this aparthotel was not as we expected - The room was extremely basic and very badly designed.
1. There is no cleaning service and no linen change unless staying over 6 nights.
2. They don’t even empty the bins / recycling.
3. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, but you need to bring your own Nespresso capsules as they are not supplied (although teabags are).
4. There is very little storage space for clothes - just one drawer and an external rail (fine for a night or two but this in an aparthotel which tends to be the choice for longer stays).
5. There is a small round bistrot table in the room, but it’s in the darkest corner of the room so you can’t work / write / read there.
6. The double bed is pushed right up against the wall and cannot be moved. So one person needs to climb over the to get in and out, and there is nowhere to put a glass of water.
7. The bathroom is TINY and should have been built with a sliding door but they took the cheaper option so you need to be a size zero to squeeze inside past the door.
8. There was a long queue at the ground floor, and the person on the desk didn’t acknowledge anyone until they reached the front of the queue. We later learnt that you should walk straight past that desk, take the (oh so painfully slow) lifts to level 9 where there are staff wandering around - corner one of them and they can check you in.
9. We were double charged for our stay. They staff seemed somewhat lost and had to call other members of staff to sort it out, which they did, but it should not have happened in the first place.
We expected better, higher quality, and more competent service, as the reviews are generally good. We have used Adagio aparthotels in the past and expected the Wilde to be similar, but it was nowhere near Adagio’s standard. The Wilde cost us over £130 a night (on a discounted, booked well in advance, non-refundable rate) and I’m certain that a Premier Inn / Travelodge / Ibis would have been much more comfortable and better value.

Dear Worldramblings, Thank you very much for such a detailed and honest review of our property. I am truly sorry to hear that your stay did not quite live up to the standard we wish to provide for our guests. We want all of our guests to leave our property having a positive impression of the service we provide and I understand that you did not feel this way so for that I apologise. What i will say to you however is that our reception is 24 hours and we provide each guest with a QR code on their key card holder to make it easy for guests to contact reception at any time. Our team can help with things like clean towels, rubbish being taken from rooms and even coffee pods, we respond to these requests in a very timely manner. If you are not happy with your room we can also provide you with a room move to a room better suited to your needs where available. I am sorry that you were double charged for your room and I am glad that this was rectified for you. I understand your dissapointment and will certainly use your feedback to try an improve on this experience if you decide to stay with us again. Hopefully we will see you again in th future. Kind Regards, Marie, Reception Team Leader.

We stayed for 5 nights in a top (20th) floor apartment, which Wilde upgraded to a city view - this was absolutely fantastic (although maybe not for people with a fear of heights!). The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, although it’s a bit awkward to get in and out of because one side is up against a wall. The kitchen equipment was excellent and of high quality, and having a dishwasher was handy. It’s incredibly quiet - no outside noise at all - and we only heard a bit of noise from a neighbouring room once. The location is brilliant- so central and less than a minute away from the main tram stop in the city centre. However, we walked pretty much everywhere. I’d definitely come back again.

From the start, Wilde had the closest rooms to perfection we had seen; everything from electric blinds to diswashers, rainshowers, backlit mirrors. The room was crafted with meticulous insight and attention to detail unlike any I've seen and I have traveled the world. Appointed without compromise and worked to perfection. And then I had to spoil it all by asking for a couple more sugar sachets for my daughter's tea. Came back day 2 afternoon, rooms were not made, and housekeeping was working the floor, so we put out the sign. No sign of housekeeping by evening, so I scan code and AI responds its on the way. Wake up next morning, no sugar. I text a reminder. We would have still left a perfect rating at this point except the responses they started giving made it go from bad to worse. Non AI intervention on day 3 before checkout: "Come down to reception and we will give you all the sugar you need". Seriously? You think I booked this hotel just to scrounge a few more sugar cubes? So you know, we don't even use the hotel toiletries - we bring our own. And it got even worse; "if you need anything, just ask us". Maybe 'get off your ass?' We checked out leaving 2 cups of tea waiting for some sugar, feeling a little sad that something so beautifully and perfectly crafted, lacked the simplest service we get from call to housekeeping elsewhere.

We deeply appreciate your kind words about our attention to detail, from the electric blinds and dishwashers to the rain showers and backlit mirrors. It means a lot to us that you recognized the effort we put into ensuring our rooms offer an exceptional experience. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay was marred by the issues you encountered with our housekeeping and service. I had to travel short notice to the UK to settle a loved one's estate, and I was travelling by myself. I was already stressed out having to take a 10 hr flight for the first time post covid, so when my mother suggested this hotel I thought nothing of it. Boy am I glad she did, cause this place was a godsend to me.
The hotel is immediately off St Peters Square so if you want to take a tram to get to it you'll be right outside. You are greeted on the ground floor but reception is in the bar upstairs. It was very informal and I liked that. The room was clean and well presented with a little kitchen, dishwasher, microwave etc. The shower was AMAZING - I mean, I am jealous it doesn't belong in my house. The view was lovely and everything was accessible - I could even cast YouTube to the TV so I could watch my own shows.
The staff went above and beyond for me during my stay. I seriously injured my ankle during an outing and when I finally made it back to the hotel I asked if they could assist me with a cold pack or something to keep the swelling down. They didn't have first aid to hand but bless them they put together an ice bag from the bar and wrapped it up for me! That was extremely helpful, and I'm grateful to them for their assistance!
The mini shop was stocked with delicious treats, the breakfast was also delicious, and I even used their laundry with ease while staying there. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It helped me through a very tough time in my life by being cool and easy to get to and extremely friendly. Stay here - you won't regret it!

It was very good felt like luxury hotel. Very cheap. Got coffee two water milk and two chocolates for free. You have a kitchen and everything you need😊 The floor was a bit sticky but we asked if they could wash it and they did it the next day. 😊 Laundry costs money if you don't stay there for more than seven days, and check-out is at 11 o'clock if you don't want to pay 10 pounds

We were very impressed with our 1 bedroom apartment. It was immaculately clean, very spacious with a very comfortable king sized bed. All of the fixtures and fittings are of good quality and the shower was also excellent. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also in the room which makes a pleasant change compared to other more expensive hotels. Reception, bar and breakfast can be found on the 9th floor although we were given our room keys by a staff member who was situated at the ground floor entrance. Breakfast was excellent. A good choice of cereals, pastries and juices and also a good selection of hot food from the kitchen, made fresh to order and of good quality. All staff were very friendly and attentive and there’s always someone available to help. The hotel is very close to St. Peter’s Square tram stop which gives great access to all areas of the city. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Manchester.
