My friend and I stayed here when we attended a concert at the MEN. Our rooms were clean and tidy. The furniture a bit dated but that is hardly important. The bedding was spotless!!! So much tea and coffee in the room! The breakfast was absolutely perfect. Beautifully cooked and presented. We just couldn't fault it. The staff were pleasant,...

Completely inaccurate photos shown on the website! The room was small, dingy, mismatching and uncomfortable! The overall experience was completely miserable except for the reception staff who were helpful but over-worked! A tariff of £74 for a shared bathroom with a bedroom of that standard was completely overpriced! If I could give 0 stars I would! Terrible

Honestly, the worst room I've stayed in for a long time! Shared bathroom!? What's going on here. The mitre, likes to give the impression of a quirky cool place to stay but in fact is very cheap, tacky and hanging really! Nothing is new, stylish or even clean. It's smells of foist! It's a total disaster. Those photos they have !?...

When we first arrived we thought we were in the wrong place as we entered quite a trendy, very busy bar.We were guided upstairs to the hotel reception. The lady was very friendly and booked us in with ease, showing us how to get to The Arena, which is literally round the corner. The rooms were in need of some TLC,the paintwork was chipped...

The MItre Hotel was booked for a family celebration - and so a party of 6 of us booked in - 3 doubles. On the day we arrived we discovered 2 doubles were upgraded to Luxury and Exec quality! Such a treat for the birthday girl and her sister. All rooms were en suite, and clean and tidy. Showers were...

First to reiterate other comments. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful which upped my review from 1 star to 2. The room was technically clean but no amount of cleaning can take the many stains out of the carpet or compensate for thrift store furniture and terrible motel soap. I like boutique / quirky hotels which is why I stayed...

Me and my girlfriend visited The Mitre after hearing good things and we weren't disappointed! We were greeted by friendly staff and ordered our drinks. As it was a sunny day we thought there would be hardly any seats but there was plenty of additional seating, even outside. Very relaxing atmosphere whether you have been shopping or at work and...
