.......when you are trapped in your paper thin room without a phone, listening to a dozen or more drunk kids having a multi-room party, screaming around the corridors and banging on your door, while the terrified one man "night staff" cowers in reception doing nothing about it. I have stayed here twice. The first time it was spartan and half...

Just 2 weeks before we were due to head down to manchester i got an email from them saying 'sorry cant stay here we're closing for refurbishments' You think that they would of know more in advance that they were closing for this refurbishment more than 2 weeks before hand. And then we had to try and find a new...

We booked this expecting a hotel with cooked breakfast what we got was a hostel the rooms were vile, although the bathroom was clean, there was no cooked breakfast, we didn't eat anything but if you did you would have to use the toaster or have cereals, I would not stay at Sandown again it seemed to be a hostel...

We stayed here several times in the past and always found it excellent value and very welcoming. However, that was some time ago and sadly, the same cannot be said of it now. The bedroom was acceptable though certainly not luxurious and the shower worked well. The first disappontment was on the first morning. In the past, we had an...

I arranged a night out in Manchester for myself and a few friends, after looking at a lot of hotels we decided on this hotel as it definitely seemed the best price for money. There are reviews that seem to slate this hotel but IGNORE THEM!!! This hotel is amazing and so close to all the amenities - it was...

..not much more to say. Booked a month in advance and pre paid half the cash. Arrived, despite a full record of our booking they had NO ROOM assigned for us. Literally No effort made to relocate us, useless Management, who did not even have the guts to show face. Leaving receptionist to take our complaints. No real apology and...

We stayed at the Sandown March 2010. We got a shock when we turned up and we're a little concerned as the area that the hotel is situated in is quite rough and this is evident by all the bars on the windows. Although the price was relatively cheap for a 3 bed room, I feel the standard of cleanliness...
