Always the friendliest of staff, especially in the bar, and at the breakfast buffet. Laura was working behind the bar on my last visit and was most attentive. She always ensured we were good for drinks, and kept the bar open for as long as we needed to have a few more beers 👌🍻

Hotel is great! Rooms are good sized and the staff is outstanding! Located on the river so views for any of the rooms are either of the water or downtown. Bar and restaurant on sight are good. Great location for on site meetings and within walking distance to many wonderful restaurants, science museum and shopping!!

I had an amazing time at the Marriott in Manchester - great hotel, great staff and so central. Loved it. We also was offered valet parking which was an added bonus to park in the centre of Manchester.

We stayed for just one night on a bed, breakfast and bottle of prosecco deal. The building is wonderful and looks like it was originally a warehouse and is full of exposed beams and iron uprights. We were allocated a suite which had a spacious sitting area, huge bed and reasonably sized bathroom. Soft furnishings were tasteful and of excellent...

Stayed for just one night and I was very impressed with this hotel. We arrived ridiculously early (10am) but wanted to make the most of our time in Manchester so just wanted to drop the car off at the hotel ready for later. They checked our booking and the room was ready :) The check in staff were very friendly...

My self and my wife stayed here for 1 night for a family members 40th which was at Lock 91 a short walk away. On arrival we attempted to book in to be told that the room was not ready as the occupants had paid for a late check out. It was 4pm and we had been told that our...

I stayed here on a business trip. Great location in spinning fields which is ultra smart these days. Sold and iconic building which is quiet. Room size good and bedding clean. Warm welcome from a great concierge team. Easy walking distance from Salford central station. Why 3? No water in room, not even a 50p plastic bottle which seems fairly...

Booked with 4 friends via groupon for brunch and free flowing fizz, initially food good, service was poor, then Aaron Millar came on on duty and service changed immensely, Aaron couldn't do enough, he wanted to right the wrongs the earlier staff had done, excellent member of staff, and should be rewarded for his attention to detail. Initially wouldn't recommend...

Many modern hotels are bland and formulaic but not this one. In a converted 19th century warehouse this has been very well converted. Many old features have been retained and the location alongside the River Irwell adds to the appeal. More important the staff are welcoming and helpful. The only negative is the shower is only chest height!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set in the vibrant Manchester city centre on the banks of the River Irwell, the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in England exudes a historical charm. Our cozy 4-star Manchester hotel's location across from Granada Television Studios is ideal, as guests enjoy a short and pleasant stroll to the Opera House, Spinningfields and Deansgate areas and Palace Theatre. Very convenient to reach the Manchester United and Manchester City football grounds. Since our Manchester city center hotel's origin was a warehouse built in 1844, you will find many authentic details in our guest rooms including exposed brick and oak beams. Our £3 million renovation in 2014 highlights the old architecture and new contemporary flair, along with modern comforts and services. ... more   less
