On arriving we were greeted warmly, shown our room and back to reception to pay. All seemed well. After looking at our room more closely, the window was open but we could not shut it because there was a cable running from our room, out of the window across the flat roof and into a hole in the next building....

Stayed here with a friend for one night as we had planned to meet up for a night out in the City Centre. On arrival the staff at reception were really helpful and took us up to our room and told us to come down when we were ready to pay for the room. £65 for 1 night is pretty...

This is a budget hotel, so I wasn't expecting sumptuous accommodation and/or service, but I do expect certain basics which I'm afraid the hotel just doesn't provide. To start, it needs a general face lift; scabby paintwork and carpets with dark dribbly stains greet you when you arrive. This is a hotel owned by Muslims, and it has to be...

I stayed here with my boyfriend before the Manchester Half. The guy on reception was friendly, he showed us our room before we paid. The room was basic: double bed, ensuite and tea and coffee making facilities. No television, but plenty of lounges in the hotel for you to watch TV and read. The room was freezing and the blinds...

Stayed here for one night and it was a disgusting place as you'll see from the photos, there was a "Bogey" wiped onto the door frame, beds sheets that had some ugly stains on them & a filthy mattress. Also the breakfast consisted of cereal & toast, which was a bit strange as when I asked the guy on reception...

Place is a kip. Staff were friendly I guess but it's dirty and smelly and only reason we stayed is we couldn't get a room anywhere else on Derby day. Room was clean(ish) did have a nice large window and private bathroom! 68 quid for the night. Alot better for that money elsewhere

This hotel is a grade 2 listed building which has lots of rooms inside. We were staying on night and there was only an economy double room left. The very helpful and kind man on reception had us shown to our room BEFORE he booked us in to make sure it was okay for us. It was small and basic...

Didn't expect much from previous reviews. Just needed somewhere to sleep for one night for gig as town was full and expensive. Bed and bathroom clean so did the job. Could do with update and lick of paint. Out of town but only ten quid in taxi.

Where to start?... The place is FILTHY absolutely disgusting they should pay you to stay there!! The place stinks of mold. I was "upgraded" to a double room, I dread to think what the standard room is like! There's mold on the walls and ceiling in room 8. A heater and plug sockets that look like they would cause a...
