We had planned a trip to Manchester with friends for food & cocktails so decided to stay the night. Many of the hotels where booked up due to it being the Manchester lights switch on weekend, after ringing the Townhouse, the lovely lady on the phone book us in quickly & efficiently. We arrived that Saturday morning on time but...

Worst room I've ever stayed in. The room smelt of sick. Very noisy traffic outside until the early hours. Paint peeling of bathroom ceiling. Reception not overly bothered when told of issues. Will not be staying again..

Absolutely perfect! We got the most expensive room in the hotel, (feature suit) and it really showed! We both had such an amazing time, if your looking to stay on a budget this isn't for you. Aside from that, service, quality and facilities were all faultless

Very cold room with portable heater which took hours to warm the room up! Staff didn't make you feel very welcome. We also never got all facilities we paid for. Overall a pretty average stay. A lot better hotels for the price.

Well so much for being an Macdonald Hotel "Elite" card member. I was told quite bluntly on check in that my card was of no use here because MacDonald did not own/run this hotel anymore! Thanks for making me look an idiot! Apparently it changed hands weeks before but MacDonald Hotels didn't bother telling me. Thought I got the worst...

Fantastic hotel. 2 night stay and we were upgraded to a junior suite. Really nice decor and huge beds!! Staff were very polite and hotel spotless. Would recommend and definitely stay again! It's also very central for all things in Manchester.

Room correct and comfortable. Noisy radiator. Bathroom: shower poor (H/C seeting unstable, low pressure, no tube); empty cleansing towel box only replaced after 2nd night). Restaurant: too cold too stay. Service poor especially at bar (no mojito served during our entire stay although first cocktail on the list; dessert counted with wrong price +8£, finally corrected) and breakfast (mouldy cheese,...

Good hotel, good location. The staff are very friendly and professional, our room was lovely, the bed was comfortable. One slight niggle is that hotel room should be fitted with soft-close doors as we were disturbed by the banging of our neighbours when they came and went. Nevertheless, a good hotel.
