Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, stayed as part of a coach party, when we checked there was 35 of us , I receptionist dealt with everybody , whilst getting our keys to our rooms, we were also asked to fill a form to pre order our meals for that night, a bit chaotic to say the least, a... More

After reading the reviews we were a little worried about our visit. We had a Groupon deal for two nights. The staff were attentive and pleasant, the room although a little tired was adequate car parking was an issue but the hotel is very busy. Breakfast was good help yourself to as much as you wanted to eat. All in... More

We went on a deal for a one night stay. Firstly I must say we had no complaints about the room lovely and clean, comfortable bed ,toiletries in bathroom good size and plenty of tea and coffee. The bad points the staff didnt seem to know what they were doing. Waited ages at the bar to be served, when we... More

When you arive at the hotel you will probably fear the worst. The exterior decor is old tired and definately needs a coat of paint but when you get through the front door you may change your mind as the reception area and dining room have highly polished marble tiles and a clean and crisp (if not a bit over the... On attending a wedding at this hotel I was welcomed by a tired building, low levels of staff (the ones that were working were rude) I have to admit the food was nice and delivered hot, but there was very often no one serving at the bar so people were serving themselves. The duty manager was dressed rather inappropriately and... More

Having read the reviews on here was slightly concerned. The hotel was fine. No complaints only minor niggles. We had room 54 (the room with no view) looking into a brick wall. But as we were only sleeping there it didn't bother us. Facilities in the room were adequate, it was clean. It would have been nice if the headboards... More

Have stayed in better B&B's. Hot unbearable rooms. No air con. My room smelt of drains. Windows covered in mould. One window the lock was broken - easily accessible from outside...and on a main road. Very dated and out of touch. Dust everywhere. Breakfast - shells in the scrambled eggs and luke warm. Bathroom covered in grime as were the... More

Firstly I must say 'don't be put off by my following comments'! I must be getting picky in my old age! On arrival we waited around reception for about 10 minutes with no staff in sight. One of my guests went in search and did find someone to check us in! We had asked for 2 adjoining rooms and indeed... More

Don't go by first impressions As I walked in to the reception area it seemed very dated and in need of brightening up. All in all I had this strange feeling of thinking have I done the right thing in coming here. Deciding to eat out I had a walk around the town but did not find what I wanted,... More
