I booked a double room at Falstaff for 2 nights. At check-in, the receptionist, Isabela, was really helpful and the check-in process was really quick. We had a lovely room, which was nice and clean and the members of the staff were all really friendly and efficient. The dining room is lovely as well as the bar, and the food...

Stayed at the hotel with my wife while playing bowls at the National Championships. The price was hiked up due to supply and demand. What did we get, staff that were constantly complaining in front of guests about being understaffed. There was no gin in the bar.The breakfast was cold and the waitress run off her feet.Terrible value for money.

Drilling and hammering every single day from 10am. People doing the work shouting at each other. God forbid you had a morning off work and want a lie in. Mornings where every other door in the corridor is being replaced. Loudly. and the only reason your room is still attached is because you're in it trying to sleep. It's a...

The room itself was a fair size with all the usual bits. As you walk pass the kitchen area to room it smells really damp posdibly due to cellar. Shower head could with good clean out or renew plus a shower mat in bath as rather slippery. We did not eat here as we found prices a bit expensive and...

Found on booking.com, thought it would be ideal for a one night stay. Wasn't expecting all mod cons, but was expecting a high standard of cleanliness, which there wasn't. We were given the disabled room on the ground floor, which meant we had a wet room, and this was just appalling. The floor was grubby and there were rusty rails....

The hotel itself is OK. The room, bar and main areas are clean and quite well maintained providing a pleasant atmosphere to relax in. The biggest complaint is regarding the apparently very low levels of staffing. To get a drink in the bar was difficult as it seemed that there was only one new young member of staff trying to...

Bar food cheap but limited. No outside seating area to relax. No lift. Lots of steps and stairs.. there was the liviest wake I have ever experienced going on on the second night we were there. With very graffic language.. ok but would not go out of my way to recommend. Very clean. Small rooms.
