Met by Nigel who was very kind and attentive, room was comfortable (9) but a Iittle small however it was only for one night and we had no disturbance from the airport. Advice when in shower move the Mira shower control towards cold and you will get hot!! Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. A nice place to stay... More

I stayed here for 10 days while working at Birmingham airport and had the loveliest stay. The business is family run and you can certainly tell. From the warm reception to the personalised service (Mrs Lee even took my washing to the laundrette as I didn't have time) and the "nothing is too much trouble" attitude, everything was great. I... We stayed a night here and it was so easy to get to the NEC via bus (10 mins or so) but even better the return journey was easy too. Concert go-era head for the trains so the bus is the way to go. And of course the NEC is at the airport so access from airport was equally smooth.... More

Greeted by Nigel who helpfully told me all I needed to know about the amenities on offer, shown to my room it was quite small but very clean had everything needed including a very comfortable single bed. Wifi was available but a bit hit and miss in the room but fine in public areas. Small bar with draught lager, bottled... More

Very friendly hotel. Very handy for NEC and Birmingham Airport.. The rooms were well appointed with good bathroom and tea making facilities although not spacious. Nice small lounge area with well stocked bar at reasonable prices. The evening meal menu whilst not expansive has several options and the food was of a good standard and good value.

Booked the Tri-star for a weekend trip to the NEC. Nigel - the owner/manager was extremely helpful and friendly on check in. Had a great Indian meal out at a local restaurant on his recommendation. The room was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable- if a little on the snug side. Great place for a one night stopover.

I stayed at the Tri Star Hotel due to the proximity of it to the NEC. The room was clean and comfortable but quite basic. The only real negative about the room was that there was no power shower which made hair washing difficult! Although the hotel is right next to the airport, it was not too noisy at all.... More

We were meeting family for a meal in Sheldon and just wanted somewhere near Birmingham Airport/International Station to sleep over then return to London the next day. We normally stay in 4* hotels but didnt find 4* quality with good reviews nearby. Then we found the Tristar on Tripadvisor. Yes, it is basic but very reasonably priced. The location was... More

Spotless rooms, extremely helpful and friendly staff small bedrooms but we felt at home sitting in the loung. There were 8 of us and we decided to eat in at the last minute and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. A hearty breakfast served each morning. Definitely worth another visit.
