to cut a long story short, checked in around 3pm, the room we were given was freezing cold so was told the boiler would be re-booted. this didnt work. was then told oh the heating comes on at 5pm, not acceptable when check in is 2pm. waited in reception until after 5 to give it chance to warm up, nothing....

The sad occasion of my Fathers funeral was sweetened by an excellent meal provided by Nico and the team. The sort of food my Father would have thoroughly approved of. Joints of Beef and Gammon served with hot potato wedges, salads rolls, Trifle and excellent trifle. None of it could be faulted, well presented and plentiful. The hotel accommodated us...

After reading some of the negative reviews on the hotel, I was a little concerned as to what it would be like. I needn't have worried, I had booked a family room for myself, partner and stepdaughter. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with the extra beds being in separate adjoining room which was ideal. The bathroom was small...

The staff are friendly. The car park big and free. Also free wifi but it isn't reliable. The price we paid was £48 for the room plus £10 for brekkie. The whole place is a bit dingy and they don't prioritise appearance very highly. Loads of boxes piled up behind the reception desk, carpets and wallpaper grubby and peeling. It...

Fantastic customer service, no other way of putting it. The food is genuinely some of the best that i have ever tasted in my life. Rooms were very clean, i don't know what everyone is moaning about. At the end of the day, the hotel is cheap and is worth a lot more than I paid for. The Hotel has...

Whilst we have stayed in this hotel for the last 4/5 years it is a budget hotel and agree with the majority of the reviews I have to say that the condition of the rooms is declining. Whilst the cleanliness of the rooms is not bad, its not good ! Maintenance is a word this hotel will know but unfortunately...

A little late but worth the review. Stayed here after attending a conference in Birmingham. Travelling on my own. Firstly booking was faultless. We booked last minute as a problem with previous booking and had to change. The assistant manager could not be more helpful to my husband on the phone....he told him..."don't worry we will look after her". Upgraded...

We stayed last min after a family party and the duty manager Nico and the night porter Dan bent over backwards to get rooms sorted at VERY short notice for us, food was lovely, service was great, our faith in this hotel has been restored with the new staff and management, a very pleasant stay

The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, and the room cleaners had clearly done as much as they could, but the rooms were very run down: stains on the carpets, curtains falling down... the sort of room you feel a bit itchy in. Zero water pressure in the shower. We saw 6 room - 6 of us there...

No lift in this hotel which is a big disadvantage for disabled guests. The stairs are narrow and with luggage almost impossible. The bedroom was quite spacious but the carpet was badly stained, the bathroom ceiling was peeling badly and the window sill was in need of a coat of paint. The breakfast looked as if it had been cooked long before it was...
