I wanted something close to Gatwick airport due to coming back early in the morning and I knew I would be too tired to drive home. I contacted the hotel within 24 hours of the stay and they sent me instructions so I didn't have to disturb anyone. This worker perfectly and I got to my room. It was nice and warm inside as it was chilly outside. Room was just what I needed to recharge a little bit. Clean and comfortable and has tea making facilities. I parked outside on the street, but there was parking in the lodge car park. Contact the hotel if you have any issues or questions, they are good at replying. I would recommend this before a long flight or after. Recommended using a satnav to find the lodge!

The reason I booked this place was its distance to the K2 where my daughter was competing in a dance competition. It was a 4 min drive which was great. Having read reviews I knew it was in a housing estate which was a bit strange, however as we pulled up I was pleasantly suprised about how nice it looked from the outside. On entry we discovered the member of staff on shift had left a note saying 'be back in 5'. This was fine, we sat and waited, the reception area could have done with a bit of a spruce up, but we had heard good feedback about the rooms. As we sat and waited a guest came down the stairs to accept a takeaway.. the guest was in a t-shirt and boxers... I was thinking 'ok.. slightly strange?..' Soon the friendly staff member came downstairs to greet us (think his name was Vector) and he checked us in. Once in our room we were pleasantly suprised.. it was on the 3rd floor, clean, bed comfy (although it was twin beds pushed together with a king sized mattress on top and the the sheet didnt quite fit). The bathroom was bath and shower and was quite clean (bit of hair on the sink- head hair I am hoping) and a dusty towel rail. The one thing that I had been looking forward to was a cup of tea, but unfortunately there were no spoons with the tea making stuff. Vector wasn't in reception to ask so I made do with the handle of my toothbrush to stir it :) We ordered a takeaway from local pizza place which arrived quickly, and friendly delivery guy. A decent nights kip, with minimal noise from other rooms, - but guess it is quiet at the top of the building. The room was nice and warm, in fact warmer than our own flat and Wifi was efficient and free! So all in all, would recommend looking beyond first impressions and for the price and location to the K2, worth a stay. In face will be booking again when we go back in May!

The room was unlocked when we entered. We could not use the mirror in the bathroom because then we had to open a curtain to the garden. Outside looked like a graveyard for cars and there was garbage all over the place. Don’t think it belonged to the hotel but yet it was very visible from the room. On the plus side it was fairly cheap, not very dirty and the room was large.

The hotel offers a pleasant experience overall, with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff who are always ready to assist with any requests or questions. Their service truly adds a personal touch to the stay.
In terms of value, you get exactly what you pay for. The accommodations are simple, clean, and comfortable, making it perfect for a short stay without unnecessary extras.
The location is another great feature. There's a convenient shortcut to both K2 and the football stadium, ideal if you’re attending events. The town centre is also just a 20-minute walk away, making it easy to explore.
Overall, this hotel is a great option for those seeking an affordable stay with friendly service and easy access to local attractions.

A very run down hotel. The TV could only show YouTube - nothing else despite asking reception if it could be fixed. Musty smell in hotel, chipped paintwork everywhere, bathroom light didn’t work etc. It’s cheap but not good value. The guy on reception was apologetic but the owner didn’t care.

I booked the hotel on line. Only after paying did I realise there was no breakfast option. An email confirmed that this establishment offers no breakfast. Their web site doesn't make that clear in my opinion and its easy to get caught out like I did. (I selected to choose the room expecting there to be a later option for breakfast - but that didn't happen - which is my experience with Premier Inns). I asked to cancel my booking and was refused. The purpose of the booking latterly changed too but despite Expedia's intervention, this hotel wouldn't cancel the booking or more importantly offer any sort of refund. I didn't stay in the end.... with customer care like this it was only likely to worsen. Read the small print before you book (if its there) - NO Breakfast, NO refunds.

I recently stayed in this nice hotel. The affordable pricing, friendly staff, and convenient 12-minute proximity to the airport made it an ideal choice. The tranquil atmosphere added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay!

Appalling, do not book…. Having travelled 4hrs to this place the mattress in our 1st room was so stained we refused to stay in it. It was a disgrace and hadn’t got a mattress cover. At 11.45 we were moved to a downstairs room which was still dirty and dusty but we were so tired we just covered the mattress with a towel. The next day we were asked to move to another room which we did but on inspection of that mattress we said no. Again no mattress cover and the mattress had stains of goodness knows whatever. Our final room was just as bad so I asked for bed sheets to cover the mattress. The room was awful, cracks up the wall and the window coming away from the brickwork. This is not a hotel it’s a disgrace.

Was told getting delux room. Room was tiny. Smelt of damp and mold. Room dirty, old crisp packet found behind bedside table, bedside lamp didn’t work, dust and cobwebs everywhere, bad freebies signal on tv, WiFi didn’t work till much later in the eve. Bathroom smelt moldy, leak coming from somewhere round the toilet. The outside of the property looked rundown, parts of the car park looked like a rubbish dump. Such a shame this would be a lovely place to stay if money and time was invested into the property, and if cleaning staff that actually knew how to clean were employed.

Possibly the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a lot. My old fashioned billet was cleaner during my army days. As mentioned the place is filthy and the room with single bed was awful. The place stunk of cigarettes and wackie backie. The noise from next door kept me awake for most of the night. To top it all off I was charged £10 per night to park, no wonder the car park was empty despite the place being full. NEVER AGAIN!!!
