I booked on 4th Feb to stay here on 21st March ‘20 via Booking.com. On 17th March I spent several hours going back and forth between them and Reservations in the hotel trying to get either a refund or a reschedule. Booking.com even told me the virus was widely known about on 4th Feb!! Also that Telford was not an infected area, even though the PM prohibited non-essential travel and closed bars/restaurants! They also said it was up to the hotel to refund or reschedule me, but hotel said it’s up to Booking.com. 🤷‍♀️ The hotel staff were lovely and very understanding and I was offered another night’s stay but their system would not allow them to go beyond 31/12 when I need a night in May 21. They said Booking.com could change the date but they refused, saying it was in the hands of the hotel. My thanks to the hotel staff for trying to help when Booking.com had me running around in circles.

This hotel is located in a great place next to telford centre and is well equipped with free parking, the hotel could do with updating some features of the guestrooms, however this can be overlooked as the staff are lovely and the overall stay was good.

Thank you for your recent review for Ramada Telford. I was pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and we met your expectations as a hotel. I am very proud of my staff who work very hard to ensure our customers receive the highest customer service and that all our Ramada standards are met. We are currently building 5 new bedrooms with the new Ramada designs which we are very excited about and hopefully if you stay again you will be able to stay or have a show around of the new bedrooms and share your thoughts with us. Be safe and hopefully see you both very soon. Kind Regards Ramada Team

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel, the 1st was faultless, we stayed there as a large group, to attend a family members wedding close by & it was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Sadly this time was not the case! The bar staff were overwhelmed & one guy in particular very rude, he shut the bar & refused to serve, when asked why he said he wanted to go home. There is no longer a games room either which was disappointing especially as it's still advertised as a facility. My son & his partners asked for flatter pillows as he has neck problems but was told that's all they had. Our door rattled all night & we had to wedge a piece of card in the door frame. Housekeeping were annoyed when we were not up & out at 8.30 in the morning...yes 8.30. On a positive the dining room staff were polite, friendly & attentive. We were visiting family & it didn't detract from a great visit but it didn't meet our expectations after the last visit. Not sure we'll stay here again when visiting. Not quite up to standard especially for a Ramada.

Thank you for your review for Ramada Telford. I was very disappointed to read such a poor review for our hotel. Please accept my apologies for your poor experience at our hotel and I reviewed this feedback soon after it was posted and questions have been asked of the staff on why we allowed this to happen.. I apologise that our games room is no longer and I have been checking to see all this information has been removed from our 3rd party web-sites. Thank you for your feedback and we do hope you will return to Ramada in the near future. Please be safe. Best Wishes Ramada Team

Arrived on the wettest weekend in decades to a warm welcome. Hotel is well appointed and clean and in good decoration order. Our room was a standard room, pleasant and comfortable. Heating could be turned down and a window that could be open. We had drinks in the bar area and were met by pleasant staff. The bar area was slight cold, I was unable to take off my coat and decided not to stay too long. We booked into dinner but were bumped to a later time due to a large party of guests and were not able to eat until after 8, so we decided to eat in the bar (yes it was still cool) food was nice but again didn’t stay too long. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was nice but when the shower was started black ‘mould’ regurgitate from the plug. I assume no one has used the room in a while and shower/bath product residue had gone mouldy in the waste pipe. The bathroom was clean apart from this but I couldn’t had taken a bath in there after that. Overall the hotel was value for money but a serious fail with the bathroom incident.

I stayed here 2 nights so I could go to a conference at the International Centre, it took me about 10-15 mins to walk there from the hotel. There is a big Asda nearby. Plenty of parking in the hotel car park. I ate in the hotel restaurant the first night but not the second as I thought it was expensive. Not unusual for hotels though what with having a captive market. The food was nice and a decent sized portion. The room was a good size, no hairdryer and the bed was very soft, I thought the bed/mattress was pretty old and on its way out. Sheets were clean and the towels I found in the cupboard were clean. Bathroom was clean enough but a bit rough. The sink was slow running. I don't know who designs these hotel bathrooms but in this one the toilet was squeezed in between the sink and the bath. I couldn't sit on the toilet without touching the bath edges. I don't think a big overweight person would fit in the gap to use the toilet. Very poor design. The sink unit could have been narrower to avoid this problem. Would I stay there again? Probably as long as I didn't have the same room again.
