Stayed the night for the first time, in a lovely room with a lovely view but the breakfast was a bit naff! Lovely conservatory but not much personality from the server and a watery full English breakfast. Not large in quantity and have had better at a greasy spoon.

Visited the restaurant for a Christmas lunch with colleagues. A little surprised that only two tables were booked for the whole lunch period. There was a serious lack of atmosphere, no background music so we could clearly over hear the other tables conversation. No decorations to speak of either, very sparse. If we wanted turkey, we could only have it...

I used to stay here on business back in 2007/2008. Returning to North Wiltshire last week for a night it seemed the obvious place to stay. I was so pleased to see that it hadn't changed; it was a good as I remembered it to be. A good welcome at reception and confirmation of dinner reservation upon arrival. Pre dinner...

Over 20 of our family have just spent an amazing weekend at The Pear Tree, Ann and her staff could not do enough for us and made us feel as if we were the only patrons. The meals and food were absolute tops and hotel facilities were very comfortable. Lots to do and see in the Wiltshire area.

This was the most wonderful location for a reunion. Anne Young and her team are brilliant. We had arranged for private dining in the conservatory for a party of 16 (8 couples). Menu choices were offered in advance of the visit which made the service wonderfully efficient. The menu choices were imaginative and the food was of the highest of...

My husband arranged for a weekend at The Pear Tree as a surprise for my birthday. A warm welcome on our arrival and our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Went and had a pre dinner drink in the bar and menus were bought to us so we could sit and choose dinner at our leisure. Our order was taken...

Booked an evening meal following a friends recommendation. The welcoming atmosphere on arrival was relaxing, the staff very friendly. Dinner was served in the conservatory, which has great views over the grounds. The food was excellent as was the wine selection. The entire evening was pleasant from start to finish. Highly recommended!
