My husband and I visited Roz as part of our multi-day walk on the Ridgeway. The exterior of the house and the grounds are very charming and so perfectly English countryside. The interior of the house is a bit eccentric but Roz is a very warm and affable hostess. We enjoyed talking with her and hearing her many interesting stories....

Unique, several hundred-year-old residence with prominent thatched roof. Surrounded by peaceful grounds, including a picture-perfect stream, and located in a village laced with quaint walking paths. Breakfast in the setting of a beautiful, inviting kitchen, where eggs among the best-ever were served. Note that bathrooms not en suite.

This is was a great experience in the countryside of England. The views are spectacular and national trust landmarks are within driving distance. This was my first trip to England and Ros was very welcoming and warm. The b&b is located in a small village an hour and a half drive from London. The breakfasts are amazing and she will...

Charming cottage in lovely garden with stream and swimming pool. Exceptional breakfast of home-made produce. Mrs Boot offers you marvellous hospitality - nothing too much trouble. She even ran us by car to a local pub for a meal, the one round the corner being taken over by a cricket team. The location is idyllic - in A conservation area...

My husband and I, in early May stayed at this property for the second time. Mrs Boot has always made us very welcome, and her B&B is set in the most beautiful grounds. We had a lovely room, and breakfast downstairs is delicious. Nobody would ever go hungry there. Mrs Boot knows the area so well, and will always head...

Stayed here during May while walking The Ridgeway National Trail, What a quaint place Bishopstone is with thatched cottages, water ways and duck ponds, and what an impression Cheney Thatch made on entering the garden and seeing the large, old thatched cottage. Mrs Boot was very welcoming, showed us to our room and then offered tea in the lounge. (no...

Like the other review .. take time to chat to Roz, what an experience and a pleasure :-). She is an amazing lady. Loved the farmhouse style kitchen where we had breakfast also. It was just a...

Take time to talk and listen to John and Roz; soak up the charm of the thatched house with a spring running under it. Ask about the piranha in the kitchen. Leave space and time for the breakfast. Pray that you are offered lemon drizzle cake. Go and stay, you will not regret it.

My wife and I rang very last minute and Roz gave us a lovely room - even allowing us to bring our two Jack Russells! Very nice setting, good rate and a peaceful sleep. Roz is an excellent host and I'd thoroughly recommend her B&B. She was very accomodating by preparing a delicious 6am breakfast as we needed to leave...
