We went for a family birthday on a Sunday lunch, chose the carvery and went back again the following week we were that impressed. I went here a few years ago but its been totally overhauled, very modern decor, but still really homely. There were more staff serving than I've seen anywhere and the whole team seemed to work together...

This is a lovely budget hotel with excellent modern dining in the evening which is affordable. The car parking is safe and secure and the staff are wonderful. Lovely breakfast included in the price. The outside dinning facilities are exceptional to take in the lovely country air before vacating the premises. The location is excellent to the A38 to access...

As we visited on a Friday evening thought it wise to book, and glad I did as there were a couple of large tables set up. One already seated and dining and another one due a bit later. No help yourself carvery on Friday night but the food on offer was comprehensive and included "Sunday" roasts and freshly made pizzas....

Had lunch today whilst passing through en route North. Food was good and prices are good for what is provided. However service was poor, a party of three had one meal served and was half eaten before the other two arrived, cutlery did not arrive so trotted over to the carvery to get some. Could only find one salt pot...

Stayed for two nights. The room was clean and warm. Plenty of towels. Nice comfy bed. Polite and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice. Great price, could not find anywhere near this price on the net. Thoroughly recommended.

Extremely large and spacious room, warm and with all the basics you need for a comfortable nights sleep. There were a few minor maintance jobs that ought to have been carried out but these were mostly cosmetic so didn't spoil our stay. Excellent breakfast, and meal in the restaurant, very friendly staff. Comparing it to other places we have stayed...

Stayed for 4 days in August, rooms were clean and comfortable, plumbing a little noisy. Staff were superb as was the food......probably best food of any hotel I have stayed in. Staff couldn't do enough and it was a joy to stay at the hotel.......so much better than a Premier Inn.

Upon arrival the reception area was nice and from the outside it looked lovely. When we entered our room it was very dated, carpet is in need of a good clean, I could have a shower as when I turned it on it made so much noise I was afraid I was going to wake other guests. The bed was...
