My two daughters and I stayed at this hotel for one night in May on a Wowcher deal. The hotel is very well located, down a quiet lane less than a minute’s walk from the Cathedral and about 10 minutes’ walk from the main shopping centre (which is really good, btw). The hotel is a very handsome building; the grand...

Extremely disappointed with this place as the imagery used on the website could not be further from the truth. The rooms are dark (poor lighting) and dirty, and the heating wasn't working properly. There is no counter in the bathroom, so it's difficult to get ready. Bar service and speed really not adequate for the number of people at large...

Perhaps I was expecting too much from this hotel, so my experience overall was slightly disappointing. It is a beautiful old building on a very quiet street and the location is very central, as its name implies. The cathedral is just a few steps up the road. The entrance is beautiful with a grand staircase leading to the first floor...

We visited here today for my friends birthday . The service was very slow and all the cutlery and glasses stayed on the table, we sat down for 15 minutes and we weren't served drinks for that time . The afternoon tea was ok . But the service was agonisly slow. I have been here 3 times and each time...

Was a bit apprehensive with reading some of the reviews for this hotel. Stayed on a 2 night Wowcher deal 13/14th May. Could not fault it at all. Managed to get parking at front of hotel. Hotel is lovely was once a town hall so had the sweeping stairs with the lovely colourful windows. Room was lovely, spacious with large...

Nice hotel with well appointed rooms and a nice breakfast. The staff are very welcoming and inviting, the only downside is the bed, the double room was two singles pushed together, but they kept drifting apart! Aside from that it was a very good hotel at a very reasonable price in close proximity to the cathedral, would happily return

Too much to say how bad this was! I came for my birthday with my friends and was so disappointed and left so hungry! Hardly and food, and what was there was disgusting. The staff were dreadful and had no manners or knowledge of what they were even serving - mind you, it was hard to tell! Pickle and salad...
