We visited the Queens Head on the way to Pately Bridge one Sunday for lunch. It is an "old school" pub - i.e. no chrome and leather seating here, but that is not a bad thing. The food was good. My Sunday lunch was well received. My one thought as I left was when did a Sunday lunch start costing...

Stayed here again as a team for 2 nights for a conference at Harrogate. It's out of the way in the countryside, but only 10mins into Harrogate. Very pretty setting, very friendly / welcoming, good pub food & beer. Breakfasts made to order and very good and hot. Limited phone signal, but WiFi OK. Rooms spacious and clean. Good value....

The Queens Head Inn was recommended by a neighbour when I was looking to take my dearly beloved out to celebrate her birthday. Amazing. Just what you look for in a country Inn, roaring log fire, and and very friendly reception at the bar. The menu was as expected but the food, excellent. She had the salmon and said it...

Nice setting in a lovely village. We went for Sunday/new years day lunch. I ordered two courses. The first course was described as a smoked salmon and prawn platter but it was tiny. For main course I ordered roast pork. The pork was dry, tough and old looking. There was no green vegetables, one hard frozen Yorkshire pudding, over cooked...

Would highly recommend this lovely traditional country pub! We really loved the Yorkshire pudding and the steak and ale pie!! Also reasonably priced and lovely selection of desserts, left feeling very full!

We enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch - all home-cooked with plenty of choice. Louise is an excellent hostess making sure that everyone has exactly what they want. We have been going to the queens Head for nearly forty years and it always comes up to expectations.

We were greeted and taken to our room, there was no help to with our bags. The room was oh dear where do I start? The curtains did not close fully, the valances on beds were ripped and too long, the quilt covers were creased as if sat on. The air vent between our beds was very cracked and obvious...

My wife and I had business in nearby Harrogate so decided to stay at the Queens Head rather than in the town itself. The first thing that met the eye when we arrived was a blazing open fire in the bar and a few people chatting at the bar. We were greeted by a friendly lady (the barmaid) who was...
