We spent 5 days based at this lovely old hotel. Staff were helpful and always cheerful. Breakfast was good and 3 course dinner each night was good overall. The rooms were comfortable clean and well organised.

You will love this Hotel. It has a long and colourful past. The building is 18th Century and has had a host of famous visitors including Lord Byron. The business is independent and can therefore be as stylish and quirky as it wants to be, especially after a major programme of investment. On a personal note, while visiting I was...

Although not staying at the hotel we booked for Sunday Lunch on Easter Sunday and were not disappointed. The food was great and the service even better with friendly helpful staff. I definitely recommend a meal here.

Beautiful old building in a lovely quiet part of Harrogate, but close to everything. The hotel has a great history and yes it is old but it is not run down and has a wonderful charm. The rooms are comfortable, with lovely towels in the bathroom and the hotel has great WiFi. The food is good, the Churchill room for...

The Crown hotel is set in a building with a long history. The entrance hall is grand and the sweeping staircase is a great feature. The staff are very welcoming and eager to help. The bedroom was large with a high ceiling. The two single beds were joined together to make a huge double bed. The bathroom was clean and...

I loved the location. Staff were great and rooms were very clean and comfortable. My only problem was that my room was hot and the windows wouldn't open. I was moved with no problem to a room where I could open the windows and was comfortable although it made for a bit more noise from the street.

There's something about this charming place. It's old but full of character. Our room wasn't enormous or modern but it was ok for a one night stay. Breakfast was very good and served in majestic surroundings. For £44 B&B I can't complain. Check in was swift and efficient. On site parking is a bonus. The central location is invaluable.

The Crown ticks the most important boxes. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom worked very well and the staff was friendly and service minded. It feels a bit like a breath from times passed when you can't choose your own table for breakfast though. The biggest let down was breakfast. Scrambled eggs was ok, but I...

The Crown seems to have gone down in quality of service and most definitely in food quality. we were told we might not get a table in The Place due to it being full whilst we were eating there were only 2 other diners , so hardly heaving. Food left alot to be desired - bland ,unimaginative & served by...

Once again, the management and staff working in this particular Centre of Excellence proved that they are at the top of their game in the hotel keeping business. It is a very competitive field to plough well and on this occasion, our second stay there this year, we found no fault. The elegant grandeur of the building, the class of...
