We wandered down to this cosy, friendly pub a couple of times while staying in a cottage in the charming Brecon village of Llangynidr. Welcomed as soon as we stepped over the threshold, there was a fine choice of local ales, generous portions of wholesome food at good value...and very friendly locals. Monday is pie night. The chicken curry looked...

Stayed here with my son on way to rugby in Cardiff. Very friendly and comfortable, the beer is first class and the food was excellent. If you want a quiet stay in a beautiful location this is the place. Only complaint I had is that I wasn't able to stay longer!

Food was good pub grub the Rump Steak was very good and cooked just the way i like it. Would have no hesitation in recommending stay here. Only one thing that we did find was that the...

Stopped for few pints one afternoon after a day's walk in the Beacons. The chap behind the bar was very friendly and helpful, we entertained ourselves with some old tunes on the duke box and larger. No stout available, could have done with a Guinness!

Hi, thanks for your review and we are glad you enjoyed yourself. You were very unlucky if you came when there was no Guinness or Murphys on as it must of been the week we were changing from Murphys to Guinness. We were waiting for delivery of the Guinness surging machine, which we now have. You will have to come...

A fine, solid and very enjoyable Sunday lunch, accompanied by a good pint. The food was well presented and the service very friendly. A choice of two meat, fish and vegetarian option were offered with a range of vegetables.

Tucked away just off the main road, The Red Lion has a warm local atmosphere. If your looking for a 5 star restaurant don't stop here, if your priority is locally source food, meet and vegetables, you will be in the right place. Local food and a chef that can cook. We had two steaks one medium well and the...

We stayed one night in this pub B&B. We wish we had booked a week. Will definately return. The food, wow, words can not describe it. Simple menu for everyday folk, but with so much flavour and locally sourced. Something for everyone. The pub was welcoming and a traditional local for all. The landlord polishes the cutlery! Good ale and...

Was here on holiday with the family. Loved this pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent ale. Didn't try the food, so cannot comment. The play equipment is excellent. Just sit in the beer garden, enjoy your pint and let your children play in safety on a hot summer's evening - sorted!
