Stayed here on our Victorian trip and was real happy we did. It is a family run business and the property is well looked after. The room we had had a queen bed A/C Toaster, Kettle. tea/Coffee making facilities. Bathroom with ensuite. Parking is directly out front of room and units are well back off the main road. There is a restaurant on site that serves great home cooked meals at a reasonable price. Would stay here again if passing through the area.

We have stayed here multiple times on our trips to Melbourne and always look forward to our stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are always comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. They have included so many thoughtful extras to ensure you have a comfortable stay. A good breakfast is included in the room rate and we also had a delicious home cooked dinner to our room. Would definitely recommend a stay at Tarcutta Motor Inn.

Recently stayed here on our way back from Melbourne. Excellent value for money with friendly, welcoming owners. An older style motel with quite small rooms. But very clean , with really comfortable beds and soft, quality linen. We were travelling with our dog and she was allowed to stay in our room with us which was a bonus. ( The motel has 2 pet friendly rooms with a small extra charge of $ 10.00 per night for dogs.) Lovely gardens, with beautiful rose bushes and extensive grounds with a large variety of fresh seasonal herbs and vegies growing. The owner uses these in her home cooked meals. A limited menu but the food we ordered was so fresh and delicious, with generous portions. We highly recommend the Lamb and Spinach Flatbread and Chicken and Corn Burritos ! Their Restaurant is currently closed due to Covid safety protocol so our dinner was delivered to our room. We have stayed at the Halfway Motor Inn a few times now and would definitely choose to stay again if we ever need to drive down to Melbourne in the future.

Reception was friendly I was given full cream milk for my tea and coffee. The room was very clean and the bedding crisp warm and very comfortable, love that clean sheets feel. I was welcome with my little dog as they offered pet friendly options. It was very quiet and had air con and electric blankets perfect for a very cold winters night.

Travelling home from Sydney after a dog show this was a fantastic place to stay. Clean, fresh rooms, comfy beds and wonderful hot showers. Loved the retro bathrooms. Great places to walk our dogs & let them burn off some energy in the dog run. The dogs were happy in the car and dog trailer right outside the door. Fantastic breakfast packs, a laundry with freezer for any frozen goods you are transporting. It's also very quiet as it's not near the freeway. Will definitely stay here again.

My Granddaughter stayed here with her team and chaperones for a sporting event. The beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean. Breakfasts were provided and staff went out of their way to look after the teams. We travel a lot for sport and this is a place we highly recommend

I stayed at this motel on the way to a job and it impressed me enough to stay again on the way back. Rooms are not large, but they are clean and the beds are comfortable, what more could you ask? Well how about a free guest laundry, quick and pleasant check in, nice people and a continental breakfast is included in the tarrif!!! Sure the buildings are old, but the pleasant owners more than make up for that by having a great value restaurant for your evening meal - serves are generous and the food is excellent. Also it is off the highway so it is quiet. Now if you travel with your horse there is a bonus - they even have a Horse Hotel, with stables and yards. I would recommend this motel for an overnight stay without any hesitation.

It was a beautiful place. The rooms were very clean. The bed was very comfortable with crisp clean sheets. The breakfast was included and it was neatly packed and given. The best part was the Air conditioner which was super quiet which is very rare in motels. We will definitely recommend this motel and will go back again .

Nice clean accommodation. Great for a stop over. Not much to see here. There is the truckie memorial wall to see. And a pub and rsl to eat at. Dog friendly rooms available. There’s a pool if you want a dip on a hot day. Pity the highway diverts around the town.

Yes, the Halfway Motel is pet friendly but only in two of the rooms.
You can even have your dog inside your room with you, which is a bonus.Just be aware there is an extra $10.00 a night charge for your pet. We stayed there overnight with our cattle dog and she loved sleeping inside with us for a change.

I have stayed twice without pets, but my neighbours swear by this motel when they travel with their elderly dog. The motel is old and a bit dated but has had a makeover and its very clean and indeed comfortable. Also they provide a continental breakfast which is included in the tariff. Lovely little family run business.
There are more places to choose from in the Tarcutta area.
