Good location of the hotel. The room was dirty, a good view from the window. In the bathroom we found hair, the bathroom was soap and shampoo. In the hotel there is a good bar. Tasty breakfast! Hotel in need of renovation.

It's a fading star.....and it's all about facade. From the outside (at the front, at least), the Grand (sic) Hotel looks impressive. It's when you take a closer look that the facade starts to crumble, and reality bites. Entering the hotel to check-in, the reception area and lobby are impressive. Plenty of dark colours and lots of wood finishes, give...

Room walls an carpet filthy.Furniture dated.TV ancient.Noisy air conditioner outside window all night. Had to put beer mat on glass in bar because of flies. Dining room for breakfast disgusting. A lovely hotel. A bit old fashioned but never mind. The bar is great, service and food first rate. Breakfast was really good. Plenty for the two of us. Gave us the strength to climb Bray Head. Worth the climb. Thanks x

We stayed for 2 nights bed and breakfast. First impressions was of an old looking hotel right on a busy road. Check-in was seamless and quick. The girl was very friendly. The first room has a terrible smell of smoke. I went back to reception and got a change. The second room was facing a flat roof. Both windows had...

The rooms were in need of some attention but it was made up by the friendliness of the staff. from the time we entered to an old time recepition area the girls behind the desk were very helpful and pleasant. We...

I went down to Wicklow to meet longtime friends in the restaurant here and was very happy with the meal and the great waiter serving us. He was most patient while we chatted as we only meet up intermittently and were not immediately ready to order. The menu was small but interesting. The starter we all favoured was fish cakes...

We targetted Wicklow for last night, thinking maybe more quaint than Dublin, but handy for the ferry. Mistake......... There is NOWHERE to stay, other than the 'Grand hotel' in the centre. As it was Hobson's choice, we walked in. Reception staff were pleasant enough, but weren't sure if they had a room, went off to check, returned to say they...
