Family and I decided to have a meal in this local today. Would like to praise lady who served us. Knew everything about food. Liked starters - goat cheese dish, didn't like chicken wings as were dry and not tasty. Main courses were delicious - steak, fresh fish and pork.

One would think that a pub in the centre of a mid-sized town would be jam packed on a Sunday lunchtime. Not so for The Bridge Tavern but given the slow service, uninspiring menu and tepid coffee it's probably not surprising. It's overpriced too.

I dined here with my husband and daughter last week. Lazy Monday, didn't want to cook and couldn't decide what to eat! My husband opted for the lamb shank, myself the cornmeal chicken burger and my daughter a mushroom pasta dish I can't spell! 😉 We were not disappointed! Everything looked and tasted great, the highlight for me being the...

We visited here twice over Christmas 16 and late January 17. Food was fine, but the poor unfortunate staff need to be trained. Unable to respond to simple menu queries, like what is the soup, joint, dish of the day etc. without having to check. Dishes served without appropriate cutlery/accompaniments. Ketchup presented in dirty, empty containers. Staff appeared to be...

Spent a Saturday evening here with a group of friends recently. We had eaten elsewhere but the atmosphere was great and the live music excellent. Bar staff friendly and locals up for fun. Worth a visit.

Spent a night there recently with a group of friends while visiting Wicklow Gaol and this hotel ticked all the boxes. Nice comfortable clean rooms complete with iron and tea/coffee etc. Full Irish breakfast is served at a reasonable time in the morning which is included in a very fair room rate. Entertainment on tap provided that night by a...

We are four golfers who've just returned from Wicklow after a a two night stay. Breakfast was brilliant and our two course evening meals really tasty. Plenty of hot water in clean rooms although the hotel is going through some refurbishment on some floors. I read one comment saying there is no residents bar! This small hotel is part of...

The Bridge is set in a lovely central location, 2 minuets around the corner you will see Sammy the seal, who when he is hungry will come out of the water, and cross the road to the fish mongers, he even has his own sign indicating "Seal crossing" the beach is also a few minuets away or you have the...

If we had not returned the next day for a meal, then we would of rated The Bridge Tavern a lot higher. We first went on the night of Wednesday 27 July with some friends and the place was buzzing. There was live music playing and a great atmosphere all night long. Having enjoyed it so much we decided to...
