On arrival we went through to the bar looking for the reception, the barman handed us our room key. We went to the room and were met immediately with the stench of stale smoke. We were facilitated with a different room, which was only big enough to side-step passed the bed to get to the bathroom. But the second room...

Centrally located hotel, right on the lower main street. Its is unbelievably cheap, CONTACT HOTEL DIRECT FOR BEST PRICE. It can be noisy, being as the only nightclub in town is in the bar below. The bar is lively late at night (thus the noise). Breakfast is more than adequate and only 5 euro when i stayed. The rooms are...

Had a great time in the royal hotel and Sally O'Briens nightclub! Three djs playing and great crowd. The hotel was basic but for €30 a night including breakfast and access to the nightclub guaranteed this is a great place for a group of mates or stag/hen! Thanks for a cracking weekend

Played golf with a group of 6 my my friends in woodenbridge , place was ideal. Great buzz in the bar below and the nightclub was great, three DJs had music to suit all tastes. Hotel above was a perfect place to crash after a great night out. Breakfast the next day sorted us out. Can't understand the bad reviews...

For starters this is not a hotel but a pub with rooms upstairs. Staff at bar are friendly and the food was excellent. The rooms are very basic and out of date, radiator didn't work and was very cold outside. The telly was about 15years old and was tiny and was only one channel working the rest the picture was...

If you are used to sleeping inside a bodhran being played with a jackhammer then this is the hotel for you. The street lighting however is more than adequate and we were able to make our way from the car park to the hotel/nightclub entrance without stepping too much vomit.

Checked in around lunch time disappointed to find room tiny grubby smelling of damp with a strong hint of stale smoke. Freezing Cold with inadequate heating system. Decor from the '70's with dodgy lighting in tiny shower/toilet area. Noise from night club and street very bad and continued right into early hours ceasing around 3 am, at which time a...

This is the worst place we have ever stayed, rooms filthy and cold . outdated and hairs in the sink, bedroom tiny. Need to be drunk to stay here! No information regarding breakfast which they clearly don't want you to avail off, went for breakfast to be told I hadn't paid b&b rate £75 per room? They should have paid...

One night stay in the hotel mid week. The car park at rear is operatedby separate company and when I arrived at it there was no indication that it was the car park for the hotel and was greeted with a car park full sign. Also the car park had no direct access to hotel. Menu choice very poor with...
