I satyed in this hotel twice and both time was for single overnight stay. All i can say is you get what you pay for. 50 Euro B&B and evening meal ... The reason i stayed twice was to genuinely see if i got it wrong the first time and i didn't. The hotel was warm, i'll give it that... More

This is a nice little hotel with basic rooms and facilities. It's reasonably clean and good value for the price. We were only staying 1 night and really weren't in the room (or the hotel) for that much time but it was a pleasant stay. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. They accommodated 4 of us in 1 room... More

Stayed here for one night on business. Rooms are basic but got dinner bed and breakfast for €50. Room was warm and shower was good - which was great as it was freezing outside. Free parking available in the car park next door (super valu) - hotel provides a token. Had dinner in the bar and the food was good... More

We stayed here for one night while visiting our son in Achill, we also had visitors from England who came with us and stayed at the hotel. From the time we entered the staff were friendly and helpful. It was like walking into a big sitting room. They told us about a dancing night that was on in their function... More

We stayed for a family wedding and a great time was had by all. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Beds were clean and it was in the centre of Castlebar so we could walk everywhere.

It was an absolute delight to spend two nights in Castlebar at the Welcome Inn Hotel before leaving back to New York from Knock Airport. The best treasure of this stay was the warmth of the entire staff, from everyone in reception, in dining, and in the pub. All were up to date on the historical sights to see, as... More

I was in this hotel for two night's. It was the worst I have ever had to stay in. There was a weird smell around the place. A strong smell of piss coming from the toilets. My room was filthy food mashed to the floor and to top it all there was tablets on the ground dinner was ? I... More

Quite sure the room was not cleaned at all or done quickly and really bad. Old and stinky with uncomfortable beds and an awful bathroom. Nothing to say about the reception personal, kind and disposable. Car park in a side road free for customers, Btw... Never again.

This hotel is not portrayed as the most luxurious in Castlebar. It is however one of the most welcoming that I have stayed at recently and in that respect it more than lives up to its name. The staff, without exception, are extremely courteous and helpul. My room was more than adequate for my needs as I was out for... More

Just back from an unplanned stay at the Welcome Inn due to the hospital admission of my husband. Cannot thank the staff enough...definitely went above and beyond the call of duty for me, especially the owner Mary as well as all the other staff who showed genuine concern for me and my husband. These are the unique benefits of staying... More
