Had a Christmas 2014 stay here with my wife and three children. Nice looking place but average enough when one looks under the bonnet. Lobby is expansive but a very cold place and not very welcoming. Downstairs bar is badly laid out and seating is awful with cup leather chairs which only allow about two to three people seating. It...

When we decided to take a break for a couple nights over the Christmas period, we looked into booking the Lyrath as it had been recommended to us by a number of friends. The hotel is located in its own estate, and makes for a very scenic getaway while being not too far from the "city" of kilkenny. The lobby...

Spent a wonderful night in lyrath with a group of friends. Perfect location for a get away escape. Beautiful grounds and hotel. We enjoyed afternoon tea with bubbles. Great selection of treats. Breakfast was excellent and almost endless! The spa was well worth a visit with lovely staff and facilities.

Just returned from a few nights in lyrath and what can i say we enjoyed it immensely. While the check in was slow due to a wedding and full house we finally got our keys. The room was fabulous but few slight things i expected from a five star hotel was a proper flatscreen and a bigger bed. We dined...

My family and I had afternoon tea at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Parking... The car park was a short distance from the main doors and you had to walk over a little bridge so if you have any one with mobility problems this may be a problem. The hotel entrance and reception were lovely and upon walking in...

Lyrath is an average family Hotel. It is not a 5 star Hotel and should not be marketed as such. We (me, wife, 5yr old, 10 month old, wife's parents) stayed there for 3 nights between Christmas and New Years. None of the facilities, bar or restaurants and especially leisure club can cope with the occupancy levels and volume of...
