My wife and myself recently had the pleasure of visiting Kilkenny City, and we stayed in the Kilford Arms Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at the with the Kilford Arms as it doesn't look like a hotel from the outside, but once inside it was a marvellous place to stay, the staff were very courteous and had a pleasant manner,...

Very central hotel. Rooms are spotless. Would definitely stay there again. Car parking is free and at the back of the hotel. Iron and ironing board in each room. There is a lovely restaurant called La Rose. It's opposite Langtons.

This is a little gem in the heart of kilkenny. We went as a couple for a night away. Hotel small and basic but just what we needed. Hotel has to bars and food was amazing. Very clean and right in the center of things.

Stayed in the Kilford Arms for 2 nights . Good location . Nice friendly staff. Room was clean . Bathroom in need of a makeover. Breakfast was ok. We had a lovely meal on our first night but were left waiting for our coffee as the waiter forgot our order. Then my husband ordered a pint and they forgot about...

I was traveling with a group of friends and Kilkenny was a stopover. The hotel itself was a little dated but overall it was clean and the rooms were very good sized. Kilkenny is a little town with attractions within driving and walking distance around. The Smithwick's brewery is here, we did not attend but wish we had. The staff...

I'm not the type of person to talk negative about a hotel so I'm just going to get the positives out of the way. First of all it was St. Patrick's wkend, when we arrived the hotel receptionist was really friendly, we ate in the restaurant, we were alone, our server was very friendly & couldn't do enough for us,...

When staying in Kilkenny I would always stay and eat at this hotel. On a day trip I have always called in to have their normally excellent lunch or dinner. However, I had lunch there yesterday (18th Apr 2017) and was extremely disappointed. I can only think that we were served leftovers from the bank holiday the previous day. The...

If you can avoid Kilkenny, do so. This town in the middle of Ireland is tired and dirty. But if you have to stay in Kilkenny, DO NOT stay at the Kilford Arms. The hotel and rooms are rundown, dirty, moldy (in the bathroom) and several other negative adjectives. The uncomfortable beds in our room gave the appearance and feel...
