Katherine was our friendly host and made us an amazing breakfast! French toast and pancakes were so good! Our room was clean and comfortable although it smelled a bit like smoke. Although you can walk to the city centre from Mena House it is a bit far of a walk. We enjoyed our visit to Kilkenny and would recommend this...

Katherine was very accommodating to us for an early check-in after a long flight and drive from Dublin airport. Then provided excellent summaries of important Kilkenny sites to see and a wonderful dinner recommendation. Room was neat and clean and breakfast choices were amazing!

My husband and stayed with Katherine and could not have been more pleased! She was very accommodating and friendly. She took the time to pore over maps with me and gave us excellent advice on where to eat and how to make the most of our time. Kilkenny was definitely a perfect place to stay and Mena House was lovely...

First night in Ireland after a noisy overnight flight and a day of sightseeing. Katherine was an excellent host who gave us great advice on were to eat in town and enjoy a local experience. The room was clean and tidy. You were just a 10 minute walk from all the downtown conveniences. After a great dinner at Kytler Inn...

Katherine is a friendly and helpful hostess. We arrived a little early and she let us in and gave us a friendly welcome and excellent advice. Her B&B is an easy walk from the city center, but is still quiet enough to get a good night's rest. We spent the waning hours of the evening enjoying the beautiful surroundings of...

My family and I spent the first night of our 9-day trip at Mena House. Katherine was an excellent host! Our room was quite spacious and comfortable and breakfast was superb. The shower in our family room was scalding hot, which was the only negative about our visit. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The best B&B ever in our 10-day trip in Ireland last July. Friendly owner and fabulous house. It seems like living in a dream, in a cottage of fairy tales. Delicious breakfast with sweet homemade pancakes! Kilkenny (really nice town!) is only 10 minutes walk away.

We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady, she was very warm and welcoming! We showed her our trip and she had many great suggestions to help us make the most of our time. Room was snug but nice with an in room bathroom. If I ever come back this way I will definitely visit again!

Katherine is such a great hostess! My sister described her as the ambassador to Kilkenney but I think of her as ambassador of Ireland as she explained the beauty of Ireland that we should see on our road trip that began here. She does have an amazing breakfast. Our ensuite for three women was snug but cozy. Women need to...
