We were here for one night, brief stay. I'm giving it two stars because the location was good, breakfast decent and it was cheap. Otherwise, it should only get one star. Very old, outdated, our room was not clean and smelled terrible. Bathroom was awful even for Irish standards. The parking lot was a disaster to find and you have...

This is a lovely vintage style hotel in the heart of the medieval city of Kilkenny. The building itself is furnished in quaint art deco style and it has the weight of a really interesting history behind it. The room was lovely and comfortable. The food also is to be highly recommended. Staff are friendly and efficient, in fact, it...

Stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. We didn't know what to expect given how old the hotel was but we found it comfortable and quirky. The staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was tasty and fresh! Will definitely be staying again if ever in Kilkenny

We had a lovely welcome from the reception staff on arrival, thanking us for booking with them and wishing us a nice stay in the hotel. We then began the long trek to our room, its an old building with very narrow corridors which seemed to lead to staircase after staircase until we found the room we were looking for....

This is a dowdy hotel in the center of Kilkenny. Dark and dreary like a funeral home with no lift and plenty of stairs. We asked to see the room but in the end could open the door - the rest of the place was enough for us to bail. They charged a 25 Euro cancellation fee which would have...

Good value for money. Lovely breakfast with lots of options. Cos the hotel is so big the wi-fi doesn't work all over the hotel which is a better annoying. It's near the city center and the bar is open all night so you can have another drink after the bars close

Just back from a great weekend in Kilkenny and stayed in this hotel. The hotel itself is nothing like the website. Although it is an old victorian hotel and the staff were lovely (could not fault the staff) the hotel itself is so outdated and not at all what I expected. It seemed like it has been just left in...

We stayed two nights at this hotel. It is located within walking distance of the city center and historic sights. Our room was large but lacked charm. The biggest problem was that there was no heat in the room when outdoor temps were in the 50s. An older couple, we spend parts of the day in our hotel rooms and...
