We stayed in 5 different B&B's during our weeklong visit to beautiful Ireland. While we did get a good nights sleep, this was our least favorite. The room was clean but very dated. We could smell that this was a smoking home. The check in was easy and fairly friendly but we probably would not stay here on a second...

We were looking forward to our stay at Muckross and most of the reviews looked really good. I don't know if they are made up or if we were just there on a bad day but we were very disappointed in the service. We arrived at 8:30 pm and waited at the door for over 20 minutes after a young...

Our room was specious, and on the lower level. We were usually out late for dinner at the local pubs so we had to open and than secure the large gates to the farm. It was always like returning home. What a special feeling. Maureen always treated us like family. Our breakfasts were much more them, I really needed. The...

We booked the B&B with friends (3 couples) in advance trough booking.com. Upon arrival at 16:00 in the afternoon the (adult) daughter of the owner received us. She seemed surprised and grumpy that we where there. When she said that there where no reservations she showed us the (what is suppose to be a) reservation book. I immediately was able...

Booked 3 nights for 3 rooms but left after 1 night. We're made to pay cash only for 2 nights. Wifi only in breakfast room not in nearby bedrooms - need a stronger router! When asked about it was told "you don't need wifi"! Host seemed desperate for money. Didn't spend much time there - seemed unfriendly!

I don't know where to begin. As soon as we drove down the drive we were in awe. We were given a stunning, huge room with a queen sized bed and two twin sized beds and STILL had room for the pack n' play they provided for us for our 1 year old daughter. the breakfast room is very cozy...

Clean, tidy. Acceptable, but nothing fantastic. Horse riding is good, but expensive at 40 euro each. Breakfast is fresh. Lovely sweet old man who owns it. Could do with an iron in the room and some biscuits with the tea/coffee Not 4 star

My family loved this B & B. Our three teenagers ( 17, 16 & 13) stayed up and played cards in the living room the night we stayed. They felt at home and loved seeing the sheep out in the pasture at night. Maureen, the host, was kind and friendly. We loved walking through the stables and seeing the horses...

Muchross B&B is beautiful and the location is great, not far from Killarney town (if you have a car). The grounds were beautiful and they have horses that graze openly in their HUGE front yard. The place was spotless and very homely. We went horse back riding through the forest the evening we arrived and it was a great experience....

My husband and I stayed two nights here. I can see it's a nice place if you have young children as there is safe outside space. We spoke to other lovely guests mainly from overseas. The bad wifi is not owners fault it's probably the area. The bed was comfortable and Maureen gave us an extra pillow on asking. As...
