We stayed four nights in this nice hostel. The surrounding nature is very nice. The room was small and basic. The sink in the room was nice. The cleanliness of bathrooms and toilets were okay - afterall it is a hostel. The self catering kitchen was well equipped and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked the...

Good hostel and a lovely place to base your exploration of this beautiful area. We stayed 4 days. staff arranged the Gap of Dunloe trip which was fabulous. Well provisioned kitchen, comfy lounge rooms, and a laundry. Bit out of town though.

This location works best if you have a car as it is about 5 kilometres away from the actual town of Killarney. The hostel is located in a beautiful and imposing period house which really adds to a lovely atmosphere. There is just enough car parking for busy periods but spaces can be tight if you return late at night...

The staff is very nice and helpfull . The location very good if you have a car . We were given a 4 beds room for the two of us. There was a sink in the room which is nice; the shared bathroom was ok but the toilets not very clean. The common room is very cosy. The breakfast is...

On arrival I was greeted with s very warm and sincere welcome, all my questions answered and ample information provided. The rooms are basic, but then this is a hostel after all. The self catering kitchen was exceptionally tidy and clean. Encouraging others to do the same. Ample seating as well. The public areas are all very comfortable.

I stayed at the Killarney International Youth Hostel by myself for a week in mid-March. I was spending my spring break in Killarney and Dingle hiking and biking around the countryside during the daytime and drinking with locals at night. Overall my experience was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and the building is large and has nice amenities...

Stayed at the Killarney International Youth Hostel for 2 nights in late June, 2016. In all honesty it is a very nice hostel with a beautiful common space, great TV room, nice relaxing reading room, and the self catering kitchen has everything and more than you could expect except for a coffee maker. The hostel itself does provide Tea &...

Hi Paul, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to review our hostel. We appreciate your suggestion for the coffee maker and will pass it on to the hostel manager along with your other comments. This place is quite pretty from the outside, the inside fairly basic but for the price that's no surprise! Free basic breakky in the morning, fairly well equipped kitchen. Easily accessible with a car. Mattresses were a hard, but the showers (although initially looked very basic) had good temperature and pressure which is what you want really. Not too bad...

I brought a group of 25 youths to this hostel last Monday. From start to finish our experience was first class. The staff were the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever met. We stayed there for one night, ate three meals and did three activities. The food was lovely and there was loads of it, if anybody wanted...

My main issue with the hostel is that it was way too far from the town/bus stop. You either wait forever for a bus to take you to the hostel (almost 7 euros), or take a taxi (around 14 euros). I wish they had a shuttle to/from the hostel. It was pretty much empty when my friend and I stayed...

Hi Katie, Thanks for staying in our hostel and for taking the time to review us. We are delighted that you enjoyed the look of the building. It certainly has character. I can imagine that it would feel strange if it is empty but it is not often that you would have the whole building to yourself in the Summer...
