We booked "on the fly" as we entered town, based on the photos and (some) reviews of this hotel. We wanted a quiet location, decent W-Fi and parking. On arrival we realized to our horror it was located on a main road. We were shown the room (at the back as we'd asked for a quiet room) and it was...

Maybe it was because we had just come from an amazing place in Kinsale, but when we arrived at Rivermere we were immediately disappointed. The family room we stayed in was dark, dingy, and the bathroom was truly awful. Luckily we checked the towel situation - no towels in the room. The beds were so uncomfortable. We had planned to...

I stay at rivermere on a regular basis as I work in the tourist industry. I felt I had to write this review, ref recent reviews. This will be my 90th review, so I'm not a 1 hit wonder. I probably stayed in most all the 30 bedrooms, never once have I found it to be dirty, or any other...

I was there with a group of college students on a EF tour. We stayed in a room with a double and a twin bed. The room was quiet--no street or hallway noise. Room darkening drapes. The beds had clean linens and two pillows. I thought the bed was hard. There were plenty of outlets for charging our iPhones and...

The room I stayed in was absolutely disgraceful. It was filthy at one point I felt physically sick over the smell in the room. Price was great and staff were very nice and helpful but they really need to clean up their act!

We had 3 couples travelling and booked 3 doubles but got a twin, double and family room which wasn't a great start. Walked into the room and it felt like we had landed in the Sahara, the heater was on it's highest setting and we had to leave the room to let it cool down. The place is very run...

I'll break down my review into two parts; facilities and experience. Facilities: are great! Room was clean, heater worked well and plenty of space in the room. Breakfast was included and excellent with buffet style juices, cereals and yoghurts, etc. and a full Irish breakfast made to order. Parking is free and there is plenty of space in the car-park....

Did not have a great experience at this guesthouse. The room was dirty, dusty and was not up to the standard I expected. There was dirt on the bed linen including make up on the pillow. There was a spare bed made up in the room so could swap the pillows luckily but there was no one at the desk...
