I have visited this hotel on a few Sunday nights just for the Irish music session. The three O'Donoghue sisters play there and their inclusive attitude and great musicianship make it a great experience each time. My wife and I play Irish and folk music and we;ve always been invited to join in. It doesn't happen everywhere so if you...

A local told me that this was a great spot, but if he thought it was, I'd hate to see where else he visited. It's cold, damp, empty, run-down, smelly and no Sky Sports. The only thing good about this place, was a male employee, who made me feel welcome. When I entered the bar, it was freezing, so I...

As I live up the road from here I don't stay in the hotel itself. The blinds in the bar are getting old and shabby. Nears an overall. On the other hand the food is always good, piping hot and the staff are friendly. 3 of us ordered the steak Sandwich which was served with sauté onion's & mushroom's while...

Having visited the Whitegates recently for some food and a drink, all I can say is wow. The food was excellent and the service even better. We were looked after by Kieran who was quick of wit and humour and the perfect host. Everything we asked for was cared for with a smile and perfect efficiency. We will definitely be calling...

I would give this place less than a one, but it will not allow this. This hotel is very unsafe as you have skeleton keys to enter and leave your room. We had a fire alarm go off and there was not any staff on site. Power went out and it was very difficult to get out of our room....

We ate here 3 of our 8 nights. It was really good. I am a vegetarian and it was hard for me to find good vegetarian meals in Ireland. White Gates offered an amazing veggie lasagna! There were 6 other people with me who arent vegetarians, and they really liked their food too. The price was quite reasonable. On Monday...

Great burgers and fish & chips! Didn't stay in the Hotel, but this was my favorite pub so far on a trip through Ireland. I hear they play great music & have dancing most days of the week too, unfortunately we weren't able to partake!

Didn't stay here but I had two great meals at a very good price. Meals were 10 Euro each and there was more food than I could eat, which is no mean feat. First night I had roast beef which came with salad and chips. Partner had roast pork and vegetables. Next night we both had crumbed chicken fillet that...
