It is a challenge finding B &Bs and hotels with no specific address, but we managed to find Countess House on Countess road. The location is fantastic-- you can easily walk into town. The place is clean and has a nice little lounge that you can prepare tea and coffee for yourself. The bed was fine and the staff was... More

Our greeting was from a young man who also needed to answer his phone mid sentence. He appeared horrified that me and my female friend were booked into a double room and asked if we were sisters???? what? 2 x women cannot share the same bed?? seriously, I though he was going to pass out through shock. The room was... More

Definitely the worst place I've every stayed. Left to deal with a teenager. While I understand it is a family run business an adult should be the person to deal with customers. Bed linen was grubby, hairs in shower tray, shared bathroom, It's advertised as a B&B but ran like a cheap hostel. Very disappointing. Would never stay again. Far... More

Stayed there last night the room was clean and value was good. Unfortunately we didn't stay for breakfast as had 2 leave early but if u want a centrally located bnb that's close 2 town and friendly then look no further.

Stayed at the B&B for 3 nights . Booked 2 rooms but I think 1 of the rooms may not have been ready so was put into a small room downstairs . Room was very noisy, as it was in the main thorough fair . Next morning asked if we could be moved & was moved within 1 hour which... More

Bathroom wasn't very clean. Found an empty wrapper behind bedside locker. Bedsheets weren't the cleanest. Cleaner kept trying to get into the room while we were still in there. No breakfast menu's. Won't be going back.

We reserved our room on Booking.com, however when we arrived they did not have our reservations. Thankfully I had the paperwork, but the lady that greeted us did not seem overly nice about it. We got a room-thank goodness, which was fairly comfortable, but there was trouble with the wifi reaching to our back bedroom. I did not find the... More

Nice friendly little b&b with a great Irish full breakfast and clean and tidy but small rooms. The wifi doesn't really work and the diggers firing up at 8am in the construction site behind the house weren't great. Happy to accept our little dog which was nice though. Parking onsite was good and location was handybtomthe town.

Our expectations for a bed and breakfast are simple in that it has to be friendly, feel comfortable and welcoming. Alas the Countess House did not live up to these expectations. The welcome was short and was "here's the wifi password, there's a lounge and here's your room". When asked about recommendation for places to go and places to eat... More

My daughter and I were greeted by Keith upon arrival. He tried to get us a room with 2 beds but none were available. The travel agent reserved a double and did not inform them that we were mother and daughter so it was not the fault of the B&B. The room was clean, simple and functional. No toiletries were... More
