Absolutely outstanding B&B experience at Abacus. We had a gorgeous and spacious room--tasteful, beautifully furnished, and sparkling clean. The ensuite was a treat with a roomy shower and lots of hot water (nothing like the cramped after-thought facilities you find in most B&Bs). The high-quality rooms alone are reason enough to book here...but you'll also find the most helpful, friendly,...

Breege is a very nice host, very welcoming. The B&B is so clean, breakfast are cooked to order with fresh food. It is 5min drive or 20min walk from the City center an the host will have good advices to visit the city. I strongly recommend this B&B Seb

The Abacus is a nice, relatively inexpensive BnB in Galway. We stayed for two nights in mid-2014 and had no complaints. Breege, the lady that runs the place, is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and breakfast was good (except for the coffee, which tasted like hot water). It is about a 30-minute walk to Galway City Center,...

The Abacus Guesthouse is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast which I can highly recommend. The rooms are comfortable and clean with super high-pressure showers. Breakfast is delicious and the O'Shaughnessys are always very friendly and absolutely helpful if you have any questions. If you want to book any trips, Breege and her family are happy to organize this for you...

We were very happy with our stay. Louise greeted us and made us feel right at home. We shortly met her parents Breege and Noel. What a lovely family. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was all you could hope for. We took the bus into Galway. Probably the best way to travel into the city. There is...

My wife and I only stayed for one night. The staff were extremely kind people and the room was wonderful. We paid €75 for the one night. If we ever travel pass through again, we will definitely stay again.

We were greeted by Louise who was very kind and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, suggesting restaurants and calling a taxi for us to go into the city centre. The room itself had a lot of what I love in a room: -spotlessly clean (great for people with allergies), -crisp and clean bed linen and towels...

My dad, my friend Colm and I stayed in the B&B for 3 days during race week. Breege, her daughter and husband couldn't have been more friendly. The breakfasts each morning were delicious to boot. I strongly recommend this guest house and I will certainly stay there again. It's close to the Connacht Hotel and it's convenient to travel to...

Breege is a warm owner who is always ready to sit down for a chat. Was very great in helping me figure out logistics during the Galway arts festival. Rooms are basic, but clean -- loved the little tea biscuits provided in the room, as well as the q-tips! There's a bus stop that's a 1 minute walk away from...

The family who run this guest house genuinely care about their guests. They will sit and chat with you about anything, whether it be Galway logistics or recommendations (in addition to the comprehensive booklet they've put together found in each room!) or more personal topics. I really loved spending time with Louise, Breege, and Noel. What a wonderful family. I...
