The reason for my overall rating of this hotel is simple and clear: even if the hotel is modern and functional, my room (located on the top floor, in the attic) had no air conditioning!!!! The heat in the room was unbearable and the window could open just an inch, so there was insufficient ventilation and sleeping in it was...

I visited The Salthill Hotel recently for a wedding and I have to say that I was very impressed by the kindness, efficiency and the hard working initiative that I saw from the staff. From the reception staff to the bar staff to the waiting staff to everyone who was cleaning up at the end of the night, all of...

Stayed as guests of wedding for 2 nights. Really enjoyed our stay & bride & groom were very pleased with service. Bar staff could have provided better service, quiet slow. May need to look at this & take action. Overall excellent.

Gorgeous hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be back. Attended a friends wedding here. Food was amazing. Our room was lovely. Only fault I could find was that our bedroom door kept sticking so had to slam it shut.

Ordered fish and chips. Possibly the freshest fish I've ever eaten. Loads of food on the plate. Loads if you are hungry enough. Couldn't fault this dish. The mushy peas were delightful. 2nd time here in a month. Will definitely be back again. Would recommend. Also outdoor seating available. Love this place. The bar decor is amazing. And the flowers...

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Salthill area of Galway. It is right across the street from the sea, rooms have great views, pub and restaurant on site. It is about 35 minutes walking distance from the Latin Quarter and a cab ride is about 9 to 11 euros one way. If your up...

We celebrated our wedding in the Salthill Hotel last October and have only great things to say about the hotel and staff. Pauline is a pleasure to deal with. From the first time we met her to our wedding day she was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Everything on the day ran like clockwork all...

We stayed here two nights and absolutely loved it. The front desk was very helpful in providing local information. The morning breakfast was impressive and delicious. It's a 2 mile walk to Galway center (just over 30 min walk). Our only complaint is check in isn't until 3, so for people just flying into Shannon who want to take a...

I love the salthill hotel. We have been going there for quite a few years, would not change a thing about it. Location is fantastic. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are really good and very ccomfortable beds. Had dinner there during our stay in the Prom restaurant, it was gorgeous and the manager and staff there were...
