We stayed here on a group stay. I will start by saying it is very overpriced for the quality of service and accommodation which is very dated and in need of updating. We stayed in a “superior king room” very very average.

We went to Galway for work visit. The hotel was the best choice. Not far from the city center only few minutes taxi ride and set in a peaceful location. Rooms are great, Service is brilliant and the staff is very very friendly. Over all...More
The celebration that we had at G Hotel in January 2018 was excellent! The organizor, Jana is the best event coordinator that I warmly recommend. She brought our vision to life by planning in detail, organizing and permanently overseeing all event's aspects, even when she...More

Hi, although it's a gorgeous hotel, The G isn't in the best location. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre and is built in a retail park. I'm not sure what kind of tickets you mean so can't help with that but there is a concierge desk so I'd imagine they would be helpful. I stayed midweek and found the bar area very quiet , I live in Galway and have actually never heard of any entertainment taking place there, except for maybe race week. To be honest there isn't much around it except for a pub across the road which would be livelier than the hotel . The hotel is across from Lough Atalia but to see Galway Bay you would need to head to Salthill which is around 15 minute drive. So for nightlife and sightseeing you will definitely be best to catch a taxi into town or walk if it is one of the rare days when it isn't raining!! Galway is a great place to visit and I'm sure you will a lovely stay.
