Petra House is conveniently located part of Galway that allowed for an easy walk to the waterfront pedestrian area, which has a great assortment of restaurants and pubs. Frank and Joan were lovely and helpful hosts. The rooms are a nice size with pretty en suite bathrooms. The breakfasts were fabulous. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

We were greeted by Frank and his lovely assistants-in-training (his little granddaughters) and got settled into our room, The room was a bit on the tiny side (there wasn't enough room to leave a suitcase open), but clean and equipped with everything one would need, including a carafe fresh water supplied daily. The bathroom was also well stocked, and the...

We spent 2 nights at Petra House on our round trip of Ireland. Joan and Frank were amazing hosts that made our stay truly special. The decoration felt very luxurious and added to the charm of our hosts. The rooms are stunning and we felt at home right away. Joan and Frank serve a wonderful breakfast that left nothing to...

Super clean, bright, room. Breakfast was terrific, and there were lots of options: full Irish, minus the puddings (which no one eats anyway, according to Frank); salmon and eggs; fruit and oatmeal - to name a few. The fresh baked breads were awesome. Frank served breakfast and seemed as chatty as folks wanted him to be. We were spending the...

There are B&Bs and then there is Petra House in Galway! Frank and Joan are the most gracious hosts ever! Their home is exquisitely decorated. The breakfast is just amazing. Not just the quality of the food, but the care with which the table is set and how it is served. Our room (in the front of the house) was...

A five-minute walk from the bus station, Petra House is less than 20 minutes from Galway High Street, museum and harbor. Frank and Joan are considerate hosts and serve a fine breakfast. My room was immaculate, cheerful, and airy, and the drivers for Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours picked me up both mornings, which saved me a trip into town....

This was our second trip to Ireland. We stayed only in hotels and castles on our first trip. This time we wanted to experience some B & Bs. I went on line and found Petra House. It looked lovely but the pictures didn't even do it justice. What a magnificent home. It's filled with the most beautiful ornaments and flowers....

Petra House surpassed our expectations. The hosts Frank and Joan went out of their way to make our visit one that we will remember for a long time! Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom appeared to have been recently remodeled. The common areas were luxurious. The breakfast menu had many selections from which to choose; the salmon...
