This is a lovey guest house within walking distance of the centre of Galway. We flew to Shannon airport and got on the bus just outside X51 which takes you to the bus station in Galway. Anchor Lodge is a five minute walk up the road. You are made to feel very welcome on arrival and nothing is too much...

We were two couples looking for two nights of lodging in Galway, at the last minute. Anchor Lodge was a welcome refuge. The rooms, albeit a bit small, were comfortable and nicely furnished. Our hostess was welcoming and very helpful in helping us find our way about. Breakfast in the sunroom was delicious, with great choices and delicious food. The...

Lovely host and clean and tidy rooms within walking distance to town. Breakfast was also provided and lovely. Wifi is dodgy but did not worry me. Breakfast is served in a nice conservatory. Little dog barks but settles down quickly :)

The dining room is a lovely conservatory at the back of the house where we were served a delicious breakfast. All the staff in...

Veronica and her family are doing an amazing job with this B&B, working hard but always keeping a smile on their faces. the breakfast is superb (try the Irish Breakfast); everything is clean and this is something that you do not find everywhere in Ireland... Anchor Lodge was kind enough to accommodate us when the B&B we had originally booked turned out to be something of a disaster. I only wish I had booked us into Anchor Lodge from the beginning! The rooms are spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The house itself is beautiful, and breakfast (which was delicious) is served in an absolutely delightful...
