The hostel is clean. Staff friendly. Not a lot of space in the kitchen or to relax. The cleaning ladies burst in the room every morning turn on the light, slam doors, stomp around...not a nice way to wake up. An alright place if your trying to save money but I personally would not stay here again.

I organised a weekend trip to Galway for 13 people and we stayed here. It was brilliant. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. The hostel just outside of the main streets of Galway so there is only a 5 minute walk to the heart of everything Open 24 hrs and lockers too. Free Wifi, large kitchen for a...

Stayed here for one night as we were touring Ireland. It's situated in the town so everything's within walking distance. Upon arrival we were told we weren't allowed to take the room cards out with us and had to leave them in reception. There's quite a large kitchen area and we were told coffee/tea/bread was free, however we couldn't find...

Double room for one night: comfortable and clean room sharing a bathroom but pretty small (+ wifi stops working right before the room) Very friendly and helpful staff! They offer to keep your luggage during the day (watched by counter staff but unlocked though) Small kitchen (a bit busy at dinner time with lots of people cooking simultaneously) but very...

I was here several times and came back to fetch my luggage. I had hoped to come earlier but things didn't work out. I was very lucky people in the Woodquay Hostel are so understanding and easy-going. I don't know a second place where this would have been possible. People here are patient and know what it is like to...

Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms and very comfy beds. My friends and I were on a cycling trip around the West or Ireland and so we arrived with our bicycles. Cathal was very very friendly and allowed us to lock our bikes up at the hostel. Would definitely recommend this hostel. If I come to Galway again, I will...

The staff were soooooo super friendly and helpful, the living room atmosphere cosy and companionable, great kitchen, showers intense, hot, with a button you have to keep pressing, and comfy, cosy bed. It's super cheap, so close to the main streets of Galway without being in amidst it, and the only disappointment I can note is the breakfast which consisted...

This hostel was very very basic, and had a very family/homely feel to it. There were four of us in a quad room with private bathroom, which served our purpose. Host was very friendly and helped with any questions we had. Location is great as youcan walk everywhere from there. Easy to find parking outside also, if driving. If you...

This hostel is in a very good location, easy walk into town and free parking on Dyke street nearby on weekend nights and reasonable price on weekdays. Staff were fantastic, so friendly! Beds were average. Interior was average and not huge toilet availability considering the numbers. Main down point- Showers were terrible. Scalding hot and the closing shower doors mean...

Hi All, I have been to Galway twice in my lifetime, once 7 years ago when I stayed in your hostel without any problems, loved it to be honest, so much so that 7 years later I remembered ye and suggested ye as the best place in town for our stag to stay.. I arrived on Friday at 6pm to...
