I love this place and people living there. Very nice staff, helpful and understanding. Can't wait to be back. Everyone is sharing everything, the nice French manager cooked a dinner for all the people. There were some movie nights organized, I really love this place and I recommend everybody to go there when in Galway. Captain Cook.

On the sheets has been so much hair, that it is doubtful that they have been changed before our arrival. This is unacceptable. In the other bed there were hair hanging down like a crib mobile. Absolutely disgusting. Must everywhere. I have seen a lot, but in my opinion is changing the sheets the indispensable condition. A few of us...

for a tight budget i can't complain. I slept decently and I had good coffee and that what matters. if ur a snob, pretentious, arrogant, and perfectionist and u can afford to splash cash then this is not for you. all in all I don't mind this place.

We stayed in the hostel for four nights. It was a wonderful stay. The people are very friendly and aconmodating. The rooms were nice and clean. The hostel was located very close to parking spots and close to Eyre Square. We really enjoyed the stay there.

I've never been to a hostel this bad before! Its tiny and filthy. The furnishings are clearly extremely old and worn. The host was truly the rudest person I've ever met in a hostel. There's a 3am curfew, as there is simply no other way of getting in besides you ringing the doorbell and him opening. I was there for...

We stayed here in a private room for two nights. Most accommodation was booked up that weekend with only high end rooms in hotels available, our double room in this hostel was under 45 euro per night. With that price in mind we weren't expecting much. We were greeted at the door by the host, Dominique. He was very welcoming...

A somewhat cozy, commune-like cheap hostel with the basics and nothing more. The dorm was a bit stuffed, and the beds were cranky, but overall I had a decent stay. Everything is a bit old, worn and seen their best days, but for a short while it works. Good value for money, though, as it is cheap. I didn't understand...

Stayed in the hostel for one night, the sole purpose was with friends for a pre wedding party. We booked a 4 bed dorm, space was to a minimum, it be easier to join the beds together we were sleeping on top of each other. The hostel was far from clean, I am not a prude and I don't mind...

If you want to spend few days at your friends or neighbours house, I guess, this hostel would also do the job. Salmon Weir is very home-like house, where you have to ring the doorbell every time you want to come in. There is also tiny living-room, where all the youngsters gather in the evening, and lovely kitchen area, where...

I've stayed in many a hostels and this one was dirty and EXTREMELY crowded. Yes we did opt for the 12 person room because it was cheaper but I definitely regret that decision. The staff is creepy and I felt uncomfortable throughout my nights stay. I think I woke up 10 times from the fear that I endured. Stay here...
