We had two great nights at The Forge! Steven could not have been more accommodating. Our room was chilly when we arrived due to an unusual cold snap. Steven moved heaven and earth to get us warmed up. Breakfast was wonderful. Only 5min walk to the city center and fun Christmas Market.

We stayed at the Forge House just a few days ago and it was just perfect! The hosts were so nice and it just takes 5 minutes to walk to Galway downtown. Therefore it is perfect for all the trips you would like to do or just visiting beautiful Galway City. Next time in Galway i will definitely come back... More

A bit of a shock at first as the first impressions are not good. However the situation is ideal as it is very central and just around the corner from a lovely river walk on the way to the cathedral. Dolores , our hostess is delightful and very helpful. The accomodation is very basic , there are no little extras... More

The Forge House was in a great location minutes away from city center by foot. Dolores was a very lovely host. Made us feel like we were home. My buddy and I stayed there 3 nights and had a blast. Her full Irish breakfast was the bomb!! even though we came late home we made sure to wake up and... More

Convenient. Quiet area. Dolores recommended tour and rang them to pick us up from the B & B. Our room was outside and down the alley so we had to walk in the rain to breakfast, also the shower was difficult to use. The full Irish breakfast and tea were good. There is no common room or electric kettle to... More

Great: Close to everything in the city center by walking, convenient to pick ups for tours to the Cliffs of Moher and The Aran Islands, wonderfully welcoming host, great coffee and breakfast, quiet and clean. Could be better: the bed was older and sagged to one side which wasn't perfectly comfortable for a side sleeper, towels are older and not... More

Lovely people, very friendly and helpful. Fantastic position, quiet yet minutes away from the town centre. Very comfortable rooms. Parking was a welcome bonus. Pudding and soda bread would have been nice with the breakfast.

Bernard and Dolorus were fantastic. The location was perfect - a few minutes from the centre of town. The rooms were more like apartments. Breakfast 10/10. I will be back next year 100% Thanks again, Ed

“The room on the ground floor is perhaps more convenient for those who feel reluctant to climb the stairs, has a more simple setting, less space and and en-suite bathroom. One room on the 1st floor (where I stayed) seems a little bit more spacious and the bathroom is outside.”
